Iron?

Help me please! Is there ANY easy way or trick to ironing. I just cant seem to get it. It seems that the clothes looks worse when I am done attempting to irong them.
DH is going to work tomorrow looking like he slept in his clothes b/c this ironing thing just isnt working out for me.

Are you letting the iron heat up enough? Do you have water in it to create a little steam? Some spray starch should help a little as well.

I have no tips since I SU&K at ironing also... only thing I know is what I heard yesterday on some tv show-use the square end of the board, apparently it is easier, but most people use the other end----(and after tonight-dry clean hehee)

Make sure that the iron is set to the type of clothes you're ironing. You don't want it to be too hot if you're ironing something delicate like silk or a blend. Also I iron section by section. I make sure that the clothes lay flat and hang flat so that they don't wrinkle.

Thanks for the tips girls. I will try to battle this one more time, then it is off to the dry cleaners every week.

Try ironing on top of a towel. Sometimes that works for me.

I have no tips but understand your frustration....I just sent my DH's shirts to the dry cleaners now
