Looking back, is there anything you totally overpaid for? Did you know at the time?
The only thing that comes to mind right now for me is my garter, and yes, I knew it at the time. I didn't have one, decided 2 days before that I did kind of want one, and I was running really low on time. I was picking up my new pair of wedding shoes at Sandy's and decided to buy a really overpriced ($16!) garter while I was there, and save myself the time and gas involved in hunting one down. If I planned ahead I'm sure I could have found something at walmart or ebay for $2.
In the end, it was nice to have one, it was pretty and in my pictures, and I'm glad I bought it, but I kick myself for paying $16 for a garter.
Anyone else?

Okay so I totally overpaid for my invitations but I REALLY LOVED THEM. They were so simple and beautiful. I had to have them. I only went to one place to look for invitations so I probably could have gotten them for cheaper but I fell in love.
I think they came out to like $2000! Oops!

dont even stress it, its done with and its $16, nothing that put you in the hole. And btw most garters on ebay are about that much. I bought my garter from ebay and it was around that price too, so even if you did it would've been the same thing.
Is there anything i overpaid for? can i put the whole wedding

I agree with the whole wedding!!!
If I start to sit here and think about how much we over spent, I think I'll drive myself nuts. The way I see it now, its done, we enjoyed it and I'm glad we were able to do everything we did!

I think I would've never upgraded the menu. I think we spent $4 a person for Chilean sea bass per person, and I don't think anyone ordered it!

Re: Is there anything you totally overpaid for?
the slip for my dress that i did NOT need but my bridal shop convinced me i did---$92 wasted. it was ripped off right after the ceremony. at least i was able to give it to a girl on here for free.
i paid a lot for my garter---like $50--BUT i think it was worth it cause it was a customized NYPD garter--that had our date embroidered on it....but some might say that's an overpayment.
oh and totally overpiad on my invites---$800 for 100.

honestly no! we got some great deals & really did our homework on our vendors we did spend a little more than we wanted on our favors, but they were beautiful & exactly what we wanted..other than that we stayed pretty reasonable on everything

We upgraded our cake and it was totally ugly! Not what I had in mind and they got red airbrush marks all over it! The upgrade fee wasnt that much and it tasted good so whatever.
Hmm I am sure there are a million things but cant even think of them anymore!

i think all my vendors were a little to the higher end.. now that i think about it.. but our wedding was beautiful and people are asking us how we planned it out and stuff.. it feels great to hear it all.. i wouldn't change anything..
don't look back... what's done is done.. you wanted one last minute.. and you bought it.. and that's that..

I think I over paid my photographer and videographer - havent seen the work yet but they left before they were supposed and the whole day I felt like they didnt do enough.
I actually spent the extra $$ on them b/c I was sure they had the best work. Hopefully I will feel differently when I get me pro pics back

Re: Is there anything you totally overpaid for?
not really - i think everything was worth every penny! my limos were expensive considering we only drove less than 5 miles the entire day - but when I booked them I thought we were taking pics btw somewhere else - they were still awesome! oh wait - 1 thing - i bought a grroms cake that was like $150 and it was nice but so not worth the $150 - would have rather spent it on the wedding gift
