I've only been a newlywed for 2 weeks, but............

I can't believe I'm saying this:

I DON'T MISS WEDDING PLANNING AT ALL!!

I totally thought I would have post wedding depression, but seriously I am so happy to not be obsessing about wedding details. I haven't even wanted to go on Project Wedding, Style Me Pretty, Southern Weddings, etc..for 15 months I was on those sites non stop.

DH and I went to the mall last night, and it was so nice to buy a pair of boots and not be like 'I can't shop, we're saving for a wedding'.

Starting November we're gonna be back in savings mode, we want to have a giant down payment for a house.

It's really nice to not be planning something.

Does anyone else feel like this?

I didnt miss it for a while but then after a month or so i started to have a bit of post wedding sadness...it went away but it did happen. For some I think it happens RIGHT away but for me it took a while...now its gone completey but I do get to help my cousin plan hers lol

I dont miss having to save up for the wedding but i do miss the whole anticipation of OMG im getting married so soon!!

I was so glad when it was over and my biggest concern was whats for dinner and do we have toilet paper

I really miss the planning, but i'm with you on the saving and the freedom to buy whatever you want. It's so nice to be able to shop when you need to and not feel completely guilty because you have to save for the wedding. Although I still end up feeling guilty when I go shopping!

Same here!!! I am so happy it is over but we went to a wedding last month part of me was like 'awww I can't believe it's over'. Other than that, knowing I don't have to plan anything anymore has been the best feeling ever!

I miss the planning, i miss the anticipation of the day coming up, the day went by SOOOOOO fast, and it took 2 years of planning that it went by in a flash lol

By the time we got married, with all the stress DH and I were sooooooo over it and just wanted to get married and go to the HM and relax!!!!

I thought I was going to miss planning and everything and I dont miss it one bit! Im so happy to just be married and not have to worry about addresses, RSVPs, table numbers, ughhhhhhh Im so happy I dont have to think about that stuff again lol!!!!

awww i have wedding planning woes. I'm a planner by trade and it was nice to have to plan something for myself.

The planning wasn't peachy perfect all the time but it was fun DH was very involved. I don't post as much as I used to but I still miss it. Let's see when I hit the 2 week mark.

Although this weekend i shopped like crazy and treated myself to clothes and shoes...i didn't shop for myself for 1 yr so i know the feeling

I missed the planning but I did NOT miss the stress....It was sooo nice to be finished and have that financial burden lifted.

I don't miss the planning and I honestly wouldn't do the day over again. Don't get me wrong..it was wonderful and we had an amazing day but I was never really looking forward to the day anyway because I don't like being the center of attention.

But I will tell you one thing I will do over again...the honeymoon!! Ohh...to be at a tropical destination would be great!

I felt exactly like you.

I thought I'd be in planning withdrawal but honestly, I was so much happier and more relaxed when the wedding passed. You get to focus on bigger and better things IMO.
