Jewish Holiday question

I think its Rosh Hashana or something...

My lawyer is Jewish when would it be appropriate for me to contact him about business. I want to respect his holiday and dont want to bother him until its the right time.

Re: Jewish Holiday question

Rosh Hashana ends tonight at sundown. To be safe, I'd wait until tomorrow morning but if it's an emergency tonight is OK

Next week is Yom Kippur which is an even more serious holiday, so I'd keep that in mind too

Oh okay. It can wait! Do you think I should just wait til Yom Kippur is over??

Pretty much this entire month is a Jewish holiday per week LOL... it really depends on how religious he is and what he celebrates. Yom Kippur is the big one next week, but then there's Sukkot and another one the week after that! (I am not Jewish but my BFF is, so I know the scoop)

Actually RH started Monday at sundown, so it technically ended last night at sundown, no?

Or is it just that its been so long since I've been to synagogue that I've forgotten?

Most jewish people went back to work today. We work with a lot of hasidic (sp?) brokerages and they're all back today so even if you call him today it should be fine.

I think it is. Tell him Happy New Year and if he acts like he doesn't know what you're talking about tell him you have terets (sp?) and sometimes you uncontrollably blurt out happy new year.
