Laser hair removal

Laser hair removal

Has anyone done it? I was considering it but the woman on the phone told me I would need to go at least 6x and then there is maintenance 1 -2 x a year.

It just sounds expensive and then to do maintenance 1-2x a year after that

I wanna know if its worth it

OMG!

i have been going for laser hair treatments for over 2 years now and i am barely down 20% total hair loss!!!!!!
(patchy hair loss at best...sorry if TMI)

it doesnt work the same on every person so the average is 6 times for beginning but that really is low....even according to the girls that work there....

i actually talked to a regional manager on my last appointment and said if i didnt really start getting results i would be calling to corporate for a formal complaint and see what happens then....

she wants me to go for 3 more treatments then see.....

oh and there is such a thing as a 'non responder' someone who the laser will not decrease hair growth....an employee there said this to me and the manager called her a liar!

sorry for the long vent but i am very frustrated over this and would caution anyone to really do some research before paying a fortune for it like i did

Re: Laser hair removal

It is totally worth it....it is the best thing I ever did. I had it done on my upper lip. You do have to go once a month for a few months (5-6) at the same time each month because of the hair's growth cycle and you might need to go for touch-ups so what she told you is true...but when I tell you how much I struggled with my upper lip hair....it was so heavy that I would need to go twice a week for waxing or sit there with a tweezers every other day...I was a slave to it Now the area is clear of hair and I go once a year for a touchup (laser hair removal is about 90% permanent I was told). Now if only they had laser hair removal for eyebrows lol.....FM me if you want any more info but yes it it so worth it and I recommend it to anyone who is considering it, lol it changed my life

Re: Laser hair removal

I had laser by quite a few places done on a few different parts of my body.

I personally respond differently to different lasers. The gentlelase by candela is my favorite and I have had amazing results for the past 3 years. At that time I did my bikini area. I need a touch up this year as I have only a few stragglies. 6 treatments.

Last year I went somewhere to get my lower legs, arms, lip, chin and underarms. It was the lightsheer laser and while my legs look quite decent- I do have some patches where it could have been missed. A year later and the reults are good- HOWEVER- my arms, underarms are back in full force.

The face is hormonal and can never be guarenteed-unfortunatly it could be an ongoing thing- if anyone tells you differently dont have your treatments there.

For me personally the gentlelase gave me the best results for long term. I will be going back to do my upper legs and arms.

This can be different for everyone but alot of places dont have great lasers. You want to do your research and make sure the laser or IPL device has actually been cleared by the FDA for permanent hair reduction. ( also they generally say 80% permanent reduction). Many places I have called have some not so effective lasers or IPL machines.

Of course it also depends on the tech and them choosing appropriate settings for you.

Laser is fantastic

edited to add: the body responds the best- the face could be tricky. (but it does slow things down I do my lip about 1x a year)

Hmmm so I am getting mixed feelings on it. I was considering it but 2 of my girlfriends did it and the results were minimal. Maybe I will try a different place.
Thanks girls

Re: Laser hair removal

I had it done on my face about 2+ years ago and its the best thing that I ever did. I had it done on my face (upper lip, chin, side burns and the area between your eye browns). I went for the year and then did the maintenance for the following year, which was included in the price. Like a warranty. I haven't had to go back since.

They did tell me that the hair can not be blond and needs to be coarse.

FM me if you want the information.
