Let's get this board alive!

Who's planning to move out.....of NY?? I've been thinking about it, but just not sure where to go

We don't want to, but do to DH's job we may have to move to CT. its one thing to do this now, but having him commute to CT for work (when I am not even working) really is insane and we don't want to do it when we have kids. So unless I get a teaching job or he gets a job in NY, CT here we come. But not for a while. We bought a house and have worked hard to make it our own. We are not doing that unless we have to. It is certainly cheaper though, especially taxes.

Also a possibility due to DH's job that we will someday end up in Texas. Its a lot cheaper but all I have to say is SNAKES and SCORPIONS. No thanks!

We've been thinking about it... the houses on LI are just soooooooooo expensive!!! We were thinking NJ or NV... not sure lol

I feel like I would never be a home owner here b/c the houses are so expensive. We're thinking of saving as much as we can and then move. We just don't know where to go or how to go about it

DH and I use to talk about moving to texas while we were dating, but now in reality i dont think i could! my family my friends...i couldnt leave my little nephew! I know i would love it but i would be way too home sick

We have things in line for us here BUT we do love Wilmington NC. We always look at real estate when we are down there. I want a nice qaulity of life. I feel that LI is too much of a rat race but it's home. So who knows if we will ever leave.
