Re: lets see some pics of when he popped the question
OK sorry for the long story...but there's no short way to put this. 1st of all my DH was married once b4 & was BADLY burned - swore he was NEVER getting married again - this was even up to a month b4 he proposed...
It was Christmas day 2008...
DH 'tricked' me by wrapping a bunch of presents and bringing them to my parents house. He kept me waiting until 8 p.m. Christmas Day night to let me open my presents. He took me upstairs to unwrap my gifts just us alone. When I got to open my 1st present - there was a DVD inside - DH took it out and put it into our laptop computer and played it for me - on the DVD was a powerpoint of all different pictures of us throughout our 5 year relationship. In the powerpoint was a song by the country singer John Berry - 'Will You Marry Me?' - and the lyrics to the song were incorporated into the slides of the powerpoint as well. DH stood behind me as I watched and listened in disbelief. When it was over, he spun me around, got down on one knee, took out the ring and asked me to marry him, asked me to be his wife. I was shaking and crying as he put the ring on my finger. Of course I said 'YES!' I asked DH if anyone else knew & hew told me that only my dad & his parents knew. I was so touched that he had asked for my dad's hand before asking for mine. I asked him if we could go downstairs and tell everyone (for most of my family were still there for Christmas) and DH said 'of course.' I went downstairs & my brother saw me 1st - and saw the tears on my face & asked if everything was ok - when I showed him my hand - his eyes got as big as teacups & he bearhugged me off the floor. Then DH & I went into the dining room/family room and told everyone - 'We need your attention - we have an announcement to make - WE'RE ENGAGED!' and everyone jumped up out of their seats and was clapping and cheering & crying & hugging & kissing & cameras were going off like it was the Oscars. It was such an amazing night. I only have a few after pics but here they are. Sorry if they are somewhat small - the resizer did a # on them
