Lillian vernon cake shaped card box...

I apologize for posting here (how many times do you hear that one???), but I really would like to know if any one had this card box and if you decorated it in any way. I would love to see pictures of what you may have done.

Li mom..HI!!! I used the one from Lillian Vernon, but I didnt decorate it, I just put it ona table with flowers and alot of little mini wedding cake candles, it looked nice..

Hi Aliciahelene. I loved seeing your name right now! I hope everything is perfect with you and your husband. Are you used to hearing those words yet???

You are going to laugh when I tell you we finally got my daughter on here. She's not on as much as I am because she's got a very demanding job and doesn't have the time. I'm able to be online as I work on her wedding favors and other things I do in the kitchen. As you know, it's a great help in passing the time as well as invaluable in getting information. Oh, and her shower was a huge success. Thanks for all your help back when I was planning it.

And back to the topic at hand - did the card holder take all the size cards the guests brought? If there were larger ones, what did you do with them? About how many cards fit in it? Did you glue the sections together like some girls have suggested in the past?

Thanks so much for your input. Isn't Weezie's beautiful? It's just hard to not use what you have.

hi - i had one that was very similiar - my sister made it for me. It took all card sizes - I still have it if you want it (i just leant it to a co-worker for her wedding on the 26th) I don't have any use for it and would love to have others use it if they want. It is solid satin, three tiers with lace.

HI LIMOM!!!!! Its so great to see you on here!!! Im so glad to hear your daughter's shower was a success!!! YEA!!!!!

I knew it would be with all of the love and concern that you put into it!!!!

Things are GREAT with us...no stress anymore, just back to normal, like before we had wedding stress, life is fun again!

My card holder fit every card that came our way, either it just fit all cards, or we didnt get any big cards, but I really think we did have cards of all sizes, it is three tiered, so it held alot, but we also had a small guest list..we had 90 people at the most. I didnt glue anything..I just put it together and that was it.
People just put the card inthe slit and nothing fell apart, it was easy! REALLY!!!

Alot of people actually gave the cards to the Matre D and he put them in the cake card holder.

Gypsyeyes, what a generous offer. I really hope someone takes you up on it. I filled ours with old Christmas cards (I am such a collector!) and I am sure it will be fine for the wedding.

I hope all the married ladies have a wonderful holiday this week and the single ones have fun and successful planning!
