Man I love DH...what a smart A S S

So a little backstory....

Earlier this month a couple days after our '7 month anniversary' I realized that we didnt even acknowledge that we had been married for another month! I said that to DH...here is how the convo went...

Me: Wow, we've been married 7 months already and missed the anniversary!
DH: So? Those month anniversaries don't exist...they are silly.
Me: Just because we don't celebrate them doesn't mean they don't exist..we've still been married another month Brad.
DH: Yea yea that is so stupid.
Me: (joking...well sort of I guess) Ya know, some husbands give a card or flowers or at least say :wow, i love you and we have been married another month!'on those days brad

Now DH didnt like my last comment and got annoyed with me.

Fast forward to today...Flowers show up for me at work today in the main office. On the card it says 'Happy Valentines, or as I like to call it our 7 month and 11 day anniversary.' LOL

He's such a character!

I'm kinda with Brad on this one though. I don't even notice the month markers. I suppose in the first year it means more because you haven't made that year mark yet..... but we still both forget when it comes.

I really never celebrated month anniversaries though. Heck sometimes I even forgot the yearly ones!!

Maybe I'm a guy.

Hahaha exactly!! Most times I forget too...just like i did this time...when I remembered and said it, it was more like a 'oh cool!'

I dont expect flowers or gifts...in fact, i dont even expect them on valentine's day or big holidays/anniversaires...so i thought it was hilarious today when he wrote that!

I'm more of a guy in this regard too!

Speaking of which, today is our two month anniversary. I mentioned as much to DH when we walked to dinner, and he said 'oh,' and then moved on to another topic.

DH tells me the monthly anniversaries are silly too. I still like to say Happy Anniversary and just take a moment to reflect that it's another year closer to our year mark! Guess Im a sissy like that...lol
