Movie Recommendations Thread

What movies have you seen recently that you liked and would recommend. DH and I watch movies all the time so always looking for something new.

Movies we saw recently and what I thought

THe curious case of Benjamin Button-LOVED IT!!! its a long movie so keep that in mind, but great touching story

Taken-I loved this movie, action throughout the whole movie, liam neeson is awesome in this movie

Gran Torino-I liked it alot, some ppl think it can be a bit slow at times but kept me interested. Some very touching moments

Slumdog Millionaire-this movie was awesome, had everything you could want in a movie, action, love, tragedy and so on, dont want to give things away.

My best friends girl-it was funny, and had its cute moments

bride wars-it was a cute movie, wouldnt say oh wow great but if you just planned a weddding then there will be parts you like.

I REALLY want to see 'he's just not that into you' i had read the book and its so true and histerical what they say. Glad they made a movie about it

They were all very good.

We also saw Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, which was cute and good for a few laughs.

I want to see Revolutionary Road - has anyone seen that and liked it?

I didn't see it but that movie with Kevin James (Mall Cop?) did well at the box office the past two weekends. I like him...it's probably hysterical!

yeah i read it when the writer Greg Behrandt(sp?) appeared on Oprah and they talked about the book and had women on the show in alot of those situations. I think i went out the same day to buy the book it was funny bc there were dozens of other women in the store running around looking for a copy haha. Its a very light reading book, you'll get through it quick. Its all about real life scenarios and more of an advice book. He basically gives a bunch of scenarios and says if a guy does this then hes just not that into you. Such as when youre dating and he always makes excuses that he was real busy and couldn't call, or never makes definite plans to hang out with you, or mostly communicates with you through text and doesnt call. Not meeting his friends and that sort of stuff. He also shows some real life letters he has received from women asking for advice and gives his take on it. He talks about his past and how he acted when he just wasnt that into somebody and gives advice to women about things guys do when they arent really into somebody. It was funny too and so true.

DH dragged me to see Max Payne, It was actually pretty entertaining. The storyline goes a little bit deeper than what you see in the commercials.

i think sean penn did a much better job than mickey rourke, but i think rourke will get the oscar, especially since sean penn won a couple of years ago. even DH liked Milk, it's a little over 2 hours, but does not feel like it at all. the wrestler felt longer.

i really want to see the reader and revolutionary road. i heart kate.
