My album layout is in!!! UPDATED with their CHANGES on page 2!

Album Layout

I'll post the pics in the post when I get home- just got these and couldn't wait to share! Just can't post the damn pics in the thread on this computer.

There's a few things I'd change..how about you? I feel like the bride getting ready page is too busy- those shots are just awesome and should be featured more instead of cluttered.

Opinions appreciated!

YAY!!!!! I'm running to check it out now but congrats on getting it! I'm so super jealy now though cuz I'm still waiting for my proofs!!!!!! So impatient, I know, but this Friday is 6 weeks!!!

I think the getting ready page would look better if there weren't smaller pictures on BOTH sides, just one.

LOVE the page of your DH getting ready - especially how they faded his cufflinks and the rings.

LOVE the last page!!!!

OMG you totally should include in there the pic with your veil spread out behind you... unless you are getting that one enlarged - it's FAB!

Why the blue in the middle?



Too busy of a page- should I get rid of the corset picture as well as shoes/ invites....and make the B/W shot of me at the door the focal point of the page?



Not lovin' this page...should I remove the pic of us kissing? To be honest I'm not sure if that's a pic from first dance anyway!
Should I have the first dance shots be the focal point- rather than the intro pic?


Should I have them include lyrics to our wedding song? I've seen that done before...

I agree w/ you on a couple of pages-

the one you posted w/ the blue- ITA- the blue seems to be just taking up space....I'd probably have them take it out & put something else there.

the getting ready page: I think you should def. ask them to make the b&w of you the focal point- LOVE that shot!! I happen to like the invite/flowers/shoes pic.....but perhaps you could move it to the first page of the album?? I remember when I first met w/ Duet they had quite a few albums with pics that had wording written across- so maybe you could take that shot and have them put 'Tara & Brett August 4, 2007' or something like that, or put a love quote you like or the lyrics to your song (maybe that's a better suggestion for a first dance page though? just rambling some things I remember seeing when I was meeting w/ photog's.
Also for the getting ready page- I think I would suggest to take a few of the shots from the 1st getting ready page and put them on the 2nd page. The 1st would be awesome if it was just you, and then the 2nd one w/ your fam.

as for the 'first dance' page, I kind of like the intro pic, it breaks it up, but if you have another picture in mind to use, maybe have them substitute it and see which one you like better.

We think the photographs are beautiful!!! But it is you two that need to really love and be happy with your wedding album.

The blue is odd-i did something like it with pink because of our colors but I think its too loud for the elegant feel of your book-if they wanted somehing there, maybe flowers or another detail shot thats faded. Or maybe even the stripes for your yankee theme but faded so its elegant.

I like the stained glass but personally feel its too faded-i wouldnt have known what it was if Helen didnt mention it. I think it needs a little more oomph jmo.

I like the corset but I think if they could make less of it show it would work better because I love the b&w one at the window and think that should be showcased a bit better.

I would showcase the dance and not the entrance-you can make the entrance smaller because its a fun shot but the menaingful one is the first dance as husband and wife. I like the kissing shot but maybe rather than 4 pics and the kissy ones so small, you can do 2 or 3-I dont like that they look 'squished' on the bottom. If you make the dancing the focal point, you can always have them do the words as the background and that way piecs of it peek through.

BTW LOVE the last 2 pages! Those look great.

Jennifer- I agree about the blue. If it needs to be blue it should be navy...or stripes like you said. You also mentioned flowers- but doesn't it seem like he uses the flowers as a background TONS of times in the book already? I'm almost ready to take a few of them out!

Yeah I think I might do what you said Helen- have him move a few of the pics from the 'getting ready' page - have it be all me () on those pages, and then move the BP pic and/or me and FG pic to the page with pics of my mom and me, nephew, etc. Or maybe I'd just have them move the b/w BP pic, and keep the FG pic with my 'getting ready' page. I'm thinking I don't really need the invite/shoes pic...
