MY DH's UNCLE has a PAIR OF BRASS ONES!!!!!!!!!!

My Dh's uncle is whacked out of his mind, my MIL was telling me how weird he was that when she went to his wedidng many years ago that she was out at the kids table. So today in the mail my DH gets an invitation for his cousins B- Mitzvah in Chicago. He has never met this kid, and he has not had any contact with his uncle in years, but due to a recent death in the family he has had contact with one of his brothers. So his uncle knows we are married. Well, He gets the invitation today addressed to him and only him- okay if he does not know my name he could have addressed it Mr and Mrs., and where on earth did he get our address, his brother did not give it, and it is still under my old name in the phone book!!! At first I was like I did not want to take it out on the kid and we should send a gift- but they cannot even acknowledge me!!!
And the invite had a place for him to stay and he would have to pay for it , and there was no dinner involved in the party! Just dessert and dancing! ( Trust me these people have a lot of $$$). Can u believe the nerve! We think we are just not going to acknowledge it, or send it back MR. amd Mrs. will not attend and attach a wedding pic. Any advice on how to handle this?

I think that is VERY RUDE being they know he is married! I would just send back the RSVP that MR & MRS WILL NOT ATTEND and leave it at that. Don't waste a wedding pic. Could they have gotten the address from MIL or any other relative that they might speak to?

I wouldn't waste a wedding picture either. Just reply that Mr and Mrs cannot attend.

No One gave him our address, that is what is so scary, where did he get it???? Considering Dh is not listed in phone book.... kind of scary!!!

What was he asking you to pay for? The party (that would be really bad!) or the hotel in chicago?

Was the uncle invited to your wedding? Could he have gotten your full name or address from the invite? Someone obviously gave him the address or your name so that he could get it.

Nope the hotel in Chicago, and we would not even dare to invite him to our wedding, no one talks to him at all. Except his brother for the one day to tell him there uncle passed away- he only told him we were married, we were right in the same room as him. We are begining to think he got in on line some how, those sites where you can pay to find people. Get this the invite calls for dessert and dancing! Not even a meal- okay now I feel like the Seinfeld epiosde with Banya and the soup. LOL

Shouldn't you have to pay for your own hotel room?
