Re: My Kitchen - Before and After (partially complete)
Thanks everyone
Like I said, it's still a work in progress - so much more to do...I have to get a permanent window treatment still and all the trim has to be painted and we have not decided on a wall color yet - we just painted very neutral until we decide. It's kinda frustrating how long everything takes, but I am happy with the progress so far.Stef, to answer your Q's: I LOVE the faucet to the right side instead of in the middle. It swivels to both sides, and it curves high enough to fit really large pots and pans, so it's working out really well. Also, it has the integrated hose feature, so I can have a pot resting on the countertop and still fill it with water.
The recessed lighting over the sink is AWESOME - I love the extra lighting - I wish I had them over the stove too, but I don't (just yet). All I have is the under the microwave light.
As far as additional lighting - our plan is the put those halogen hockey puck lights under all the cabinets for additional task lighting. That's why we had the light rail trim installed when we ordered the cabinets - to cover the little pucks, once they are in place. (See, that's probably something you wouldn't think of yourself - but, that's why it's important to use some type of design service).
Thanks again for the compliments - I am really enjoying it so far!

Marcela - sorry, I didn't see your questions initially!
The cabinets were ordered through Home Depot - the are Kraftmaid cabinets (very good company with a great reputation for products that last a long time). The style is Norwood Cathedral - recessed panels - Toffee finish over maple.

Re: My Kitchen - Before and After (partially complete)
T - we had one guy install the tile w/a little help from our carpenter, and our carpenter installed the entire kitchen (cabinets) by himself. My DH installed the countertop by himself and the dishwasher w/a hand from his Dad.
