Ok...like many of you I have gained some weight since my wedding....and I am kind of bummed out about it. So I am starting this thread so we can send each other healthy slender energy. Please post your success stories so we can be inspired and help each other. Because if I have to start digging out my old fat clothes I don't know what I will do.
Peace!

Yea newlyweds!....here is my idea...before you pig out click on this thread! When ever you do something positive for yourself put it up here. If we planned these weddings...we can do this! For some reason peer pressure seems to work for me.

Re: my newlywed diet support thread
I am up 15 pounds since the wedding. i feel awful!
1 good move so far: last night instead of a 3 cheese oily quesadilia i got a veggie burger out at dinner with some fries. it was good too but not as bad. i figure i'll start small and eventually get stricter because i have been waaay outta control.

Re: my newlywed diet support thread
On Monday, DH and I are going back on the south beach diet! This worked for us when we wanted to lose a few pounds before the wedding, and we both DEF need to lose some now. Since April I have gained 15 lbs and I feel disgusting. I'm getting back to my workout routine, eating right and we're trying to get a Wii so I can get the Wii Fit too!! Having trouble finding one at the moment, but hopefully soon. Let's motivate each other!!!!! We will not be those people who start diets in January and are off it by February!!

DH and i plan on getting a Wii and Wii fit as well! We are trying to recover financially from the holidays a little bit first, but we hope to get one in Feb. we did the hula hoop game at a friend's house and i couldn't believe how much my abs hurt the next day!

Re: my newlywed diet support thread
I don't think I've gained much weight - maybe 3-5 pounds ... my clothes aren't fitting any differently. But, I've been eating like crap since the wedding. I gave myself Nov and Dec to eat whatever I wanted. I have to start the gym again ... haven't gone since September ... but I hate going No time!!! Hate going after work, just cannot get up to go before work. I need to work on a plan!!! I am going to attempt to go tomorrow and tuesday.

Re: my newlywed diet support thread
yea you! We are going out for my friends birthday tonight, and I convinced everyone to go dancing, so that's some extra exercise to burn off dinner.
I had a steroid injection last week when I was sick. I wonder if that made my weight spike. It couldn't be a month of christmas cookies afterall.

Re: my newlywed diet support thread
I don't even wanna know how many pounds I've packed on since July. But I joined the Gym today and I'll be going with Dh so at least if I don't want to go one night he'll be there to drag me there!
What a great idea for a thread.....maybe we can make it 'the thread that never ends'

Excellent!! You had a awesome day and you should be totally proud of yourself!!!! You avoided temptation island, and you got up super early and hit the gym which is NOT easy! You get 2 stickers
I find it's easier to take losing weight day by day b/c you can never anticipate what kind of random temptaions will be thrown your way!
Good luck ladies!! We can do it!

you did awesome too by joining the gym with DH....it's great you guys can be gym buddies and motivate each other! you are so right about taking it one day at a time....it's so easy to get overwhelmed!
