I guess I offended someone - sorry.

However today I took the subway and noticed 5 people doing what I did yesterday. No cops to ticket people. Arghhh I was one of the unlucky to get caught! To all you subway riders...do not walk between train cars!

I take the train to Long Beach and EVERYONE walks between the cars when we start getting closer. Like literally 40+ people everyday. I can't imagine them ticketing everyone!! I'd be so mad if I got a ticket after spending over $200 a month to ride the train!

I never knew you could get ticketed for that! Especially when I see people do it every day! What about the homeless people that beg for money then go to the next train car? What do they do to them? I see that almost every train ride!

I pay soooo much money for transportation that I would hope they would give a warning first or put signs up saying there will be a $75 fine for doing that! It just isn't right!

Does this apply to the LIRR too or just the subway? Tonight I did see the sign on the subway door prohibiting riding between cars. I don't remember if I've seen it on the LIRR doors though.

on the LIRR i think you are able to, there is no rule for this as far as i know, especially since they will tell you themselves to do it. Its the NYC mta trains they say you cant and have a sign on the door that say you are not allowed to. Of course ppl still do it ALL the time, i know i have. However, they also started locking alot of doors now which s*cks

there are signs up on all the doors actually, well the NYC trains there are. Its on the metal part underneath the glass. It says you cant do it and even has a picture on it with a demonstration. The signs have always been on the doors too, as long as i can remember, just that nobody listens lol. I think you can go between cars if the train is not moving but once it starts moving you are not allowed to. This doesnt apply to the LIRR though, just nyc regular trains
