After it gets to the reception part, it locks, jams and freezes. I told Duval and they told me maybe dust was on the cd. But, I cleaned it, bought a new cd player and I clean it. But, it still freezes. I hate it, now I have to call them and complain, once more.

Re: My wedding video keeps freezing
2 years later mine is doing the same thing. Its not just one disc but all of them. We've tried ours on the computer as well and it does the same thing. Good luck!

Mine freezes on the DVD player but not the computer..so I know its not Duets fault. Aparently if you have a DVD with very sensitive coding recognition I notice it does this. Maybe because they are copies and not factory made DVDs.

That stinks!! I'd definitely call and complain!! After spending all that money your video should at least last!
Good Luck!

Re: My wedding video keeps freezing
ann it is not the company's fault.. we have a very $$ SONY DVD player and it does this to any disc that is not an original..so bootleg DVDs do not play but factory movies do. Less expensive DVD players play it fine..my parents for example play thier DVD (theya re not tech buffs just as long as it works ) fine but that same DVD wont play with out freezing on ours. And its all 3 that do it.. yet..the computer plays flawlessly.

Re: My wedding video keeps freezing
DH and I had this prob with our video too, but ProLine makes a note that this happens bc they are copies, not DVD originals. Unfortunately, most DVD players have a hard time reading these, and some won't even play at all! I was pretty upset that we couldn't watch it without skips and freezing, but then DH put it in our PS2 and it worked!! If you have that, give it a try and see how it works for you. Hope this can help!

Re: My wedding video keeps freezing
My mom constantly plays the DVD, I am not kidding...about 10 times, over and over, and literally jumps in the air.....angry screaming when it stops. I am definitely going home to play it, in the PS2 . SHe is going to insult them, shortly.

Re: My wedding video keeps freezing
They could have encoded it too fast when they burned it. This happens sometimes. They might have to reburn it at a slower rate.
And no, I don't know what I'm talking about, I just heard some video people talking about this.

Thanks...well if they don't burn it slow, I may give one back and tell them to put it on VHS. I watched it on PS2 and it worked, just fine. Now my mom wants to buy a PS2 .

Re: My wedding video keeps freezing-DUVAL
OK
Now what the *&%*&^* video still keeps FREEZING!!!!!!!!
We made Duval do it over, and we waited an extra 2 weeks, for them to redo it and still my mom keeps telling me the son of a DVD...keeps freezing. They gave us a free VHS, I guess, because they knew it was freezing. Before picking it up, I watched little parts here and there in the office it was fine, but when I take it home, it started Jamming/locking again. We just purchased a new DVD player....GO figure......

Re: My wedding video keeps freezing-DUVAL
Ask them to burn it at the slowest speed, try differernt media. The speed and type of media makes a huge difference. How is you label attached? was it physically printed on or is a sticker?
i can attempt to decode it and reencode it since i dont have the source files if you get no resoulation from them

Honestly I asked for both! They had no problem giving me 3 copies on both DVD and VHS.

I believe the VHS-started, freezing in the end. All, I know is that they have 2 of my DVD's to redo. I hope they don't mess this one up this time. Not for nothing, but I am so tired of going, traveling all the way to Wantagh, and I live in Queens, NYC . I think, I will have them mail it this time.

i disagree
quality, how long it will last (20 years vs 100 years), indexing, length of matieral on tape
huge difference
overtime, you vhs tape will go bad and start to flicker slowly fading away. It doesn't matter if you use it or not.... its only a matter of time before VHS is gone completely.
