NEED HELP FROM CREATIVE LADIES

I bought my DH a guitar for Xmas. He has no clue!

Anyway I do not want to give it to him the way it comes, he will KNOW right away, even before he opens it, that it's a guitar...so...do you have any ideas on what kind of box I can put it in?

DH said there's not much that can be put in a box that long.
He said that you can try to say it's a flat workbench.

hmmm. I totally agree you need to find something to change it's shape otherwise it is totally obivous. A Huge Refrig box of just change the shape of it, like add long cardboard pcs to the sides to make it more square looking. I don't know Jenn this is a hard one.

what about a cardboard coffin or something, like they have out for Halloween? that should be wide enough and long enough. just not sure if you could find it this time of year, maybe at a party store or something??

Instead of wrapping up the guitar, why not make a small scavengr hunt for him to follow and have the guitar sitting in a closet with a big red bow on it!!

Give him the keys to the car he just got you on Xmas morning and tell him he has to help you get out some packages, then have it in the trunk waiting for him!

If you do want it wrapped to put under the tree I think you can get a large wide rectangular box at U-Haul for Mirrors and Pictures. If it's wide as well as long he probably won't be suspicious.

If you are going to one of his parents house on Christmas morning, you can leave it there as part of the scavenger hunt that Lisa Rose suggested.

Get a really really tiny box and wrap that. ( inside it put a folded up photo of the guitar) Make sure he sees the box for the weeks leading up to christmas so he will think its jewelry.

Jenn, instead of putting a photo of the guitar in a small box, put some guitar picks in there! He's gonna need them!!

I'm getting my DH a guitar too! That's how we met- he played guitar in his band!!!!
I love all the ideas! Although, I'm giving it to him for his 30th b-day in Jan. Going to have it at the party I have for him so he can 'rock' that night- lol - he cracks me up w/ his 'rock'
Does your DH always have a pick in his pocket too???

I would go to a music store and ask if they have or will sell you cello or violin or giatar flat box
something really big
he will have no clue if you put it in a cello box!
