What about gold chocolate coins (like something from a treasure chest?) as favors.

I think any kind of seafood would work. The first thing that comes to mind is coconut shrimp.

PIRATE BOOTY!!!!!!
That's exactly what I was gonna say!
Maybe also those chocolate gold coins (as long as you try to prevent them from melting). And put them in with things like ring pops or other things that look like jewels?

Re: Need Ideas - Food & Drinks, Pirate Themed
The ShipWhat is a pirate without a ship? There are many food items that can be made to resemble a ship. For the ideas below use a toothpick or a straw for the mast of the ship. Make your sails by cutting triangles out of construction paper. Attach the sail by cutting two small holes in it to thread your mast through. Don’t forget the pirate flag. Use stickers or print them out and glue to your sail.
Banana Boat - Peel and cut a banana in half long ways. Add a scoop of sherbet or frozen yogurt between the two halves. Top with fruit, and/or drizzle with chocolate.
Mini Ship Cakes – Make your favorite cake recipe in mini loaf pans. Frost the cakes with chocolate frosting. Place a few mini pirate figures on the cakes. Serve individually with gummy or cracker fish surrounding the boat.
Stuffed Celery – Fill celery sticks with cream cheese or peanut butter. Add raisins for pirates.
Deviled Eggs – Simply add a sail to your egg halves.
Watermelon Boat – Cut the watermelon to resemble a boat. Fill with mixed fruit.
The Sea
And where is the ship to go without the sea ?
Jello Ocean – Use blue jello filled with fruit treasure or with gummy fish.
Underwater Snacks – Spread cream cheese on crackers. Then add fish crackers on the cream cheese, and a little alfalfa sprouts for seaweed.
Fishy Sandwiches – Make tuna salad sandwiches and use a cookie cutter to cut them into a fish shape. Add a raisin for the eye.
Fish Sticks – These could also double as swords.
Grog
Frosty Mugs of Ale
Pina Colada
Crocodile Blood – Freeze cubes of red fruit drink and serve in lemon lime soda.
Fruit Punch – Don't forget the pirates of the Caribbean had plenty of tropical fruit at hand.
Other Treasures
Always on the hunt for treasure, those pirates are.
Sword kabobs – Use plastic sword skewers for fruit or meats and cheese.
Cannon balls – Grapes and melon balls.
Chocolate coins – These can be purchased at most places that sell candy.
Nuggets of gold – Caramel or butterscotch candy or chocolate kisses in gold or silver foil.
Let them eat grilled parrot - Prepare glazed chicken drumsticks and serve inside a pita pocket, as suggested in the recipe, but decorating the pita with a skull. Just add a few drops of brown food coloring to 1 beaten egg or ¼ cup milk, use it to paint a skull and crossbones on one side the place under the grill. Open the bread once warm and fill with shredded iceberg lettuce and sliced tomato and cucumber, top with one of those parrot legs -cooked chicken piece. If your pirates are older, let them eat the bones of their enemies, and decorate with tomato ketchup blood, but young pirates may be squeamish about having people for food.

Re: Need Ideas - Food & Drinks, Pirate Themed
When the party guests' stomachs start to growl, it's time for some pirate party food. There are lots of pirate party food ideas you can serve at a pirate theme kids party. While you don't want to serve what pirates actually ate on the open seas, remember that to be a pirate means not using good table manners and centering the food on a pirate or nautical theme. This means lots of finger food as well as food that makes the party guests think about ships and the ocean.
For the main course, consider serving chicken drumsticks and wings. Little hands can grab these easily and tear right in with pirate gusto. Another entree idea is to make pigs in a blanket, but call them 'pirate fingers.' Chicken nuggets can double as gold pieces and even sandwiches can take on a pirate theme with little plastic swords holding them together. Fish and chips are the perfect nautical fare for party guests as well.
Side dishes allow you to use even more creative pirate party food ideas. Turn creamy pasta alfredo into slimy seaweed with a few drops of green food coloring or serve round cheese puffs and call them cannonballs. Change the traditional 'ants on a log' to 'pirates on a ship' and use celery and apple slices filled with peanut butter. Thread little paper sails onto toothpicks and insert gently into each portion and don't forget the raisin pirates. Of course, cheddar goldfish crackers bring the ocean right to each plate. Cut up refrigerated breadstick dough and form a dozen little X's. Bake and coat with butter and Parmesan cheese and you'll find that every pirate is eager for an 'X marks the spot' at the pirate theme kids party.
Consider drinks in your pirate party food ideas. Everyone knows that pirates drank grog or ale, so use foamy root beer in mugs to satisfy their thirst. You can also make 'Barracuda Blood' drinks by mixing fruit punch and fizzy lemon-lime soda. For simple convenience, purchase juice boxes of apple juice or fruit punch and paste a skull and crossbones cutout on each one.
