Need Prayers!!!

So im really worried for one of my friends right now!! I work with her and she was one of my BM in my wedding! So she has had some hard times these last few months, her father was diagnosed with cancer in october, and passed away in january. She seemed really strong about the whole thing but you can tell she was hurting..

she started talking to this guy who she previously dated, who had anger issues got in trouble alot. Claimed he was not like that anymore, but still continued to tell me stories about how nuts he was! since they were together, she tried to leave him a bunch of times, and continued to go back to him. He forced her to move in with him and would not allow her to see her mother!! because the mother does not like him or approve of the relationship. He made her quit her part time job and basically end all contact with most of her friends!

She called me yesterday early in the morning saying she was moving her crap out, but something told me that was not going to happen...
i got a text early this morning saying she would be in work today, he was going to drop her off (she didnt move out) and then about 15 mins later got a call with her hysterical crying!! and saying he attacked her!!!!!!!!!! he has threatened to slicer her throat, and throw a microwave thru her mothers window!! im am soo upset right now! a co-worker of ours went to go pick her up because i dont have my car today! i dont know how someone can be like that! she says she is completely done with him and i told her she better be because im not gonig to sit by and let her be if she goes back to him! i really hope she can be strong and not go back!! she was saying how she needs to get her stuff from the apt, and i said she cant go unless someone preferably a cop with her! she just really wants to get the stuff she brought there that was her dads! because she is affraid he will burn all of that stuff!

she normally is a really strong person and doesnt take crap from anyone!! i know her fathers death has really affected her and thats why her head is not all there when it came to seeing the signs!

please please please pray that she gets out of this relationship and never ever ever ever sees this douchebag again!!

im just really worried because he knows where she works, and wouldnt put it past him to come here and hunt her down!!

she can go to the local precinct and tell them and they will escort her to get her things. She should also think about a restraining order.

She should not go back there alone for any reason...if she doesnt get a cop to go with her then go with a few people.

oh lord. Okay, the thing is, she must go to file this to the police. Thats first. There needs to be written record of it...

Second, she should consider moving. I know its huge but, I've had experience with family in this situation and they always end up coming back around to try to 'mend' the situation and stir up more problems. Esp if he knows where her mother lives....

Is there any uncle or anything who can stay with them for a while just to keep them safe? Ugh things like that make me so mad. I had a friend whose ex fiance (its a he) was like that and she attempted to set the house on fire. Nice... real nice....

I would have her and the mother stay somewhere else for a while, and get the police to get everything. Its so hard... i am so so rry for your friend<3

I feel so bad for your friend!! The most important thing is that she is safe! You cannot let her go back to the apartment by herself and yes make sure she files a complaint otherwise there will be nothing they can do, and she shouldnt wait days to do it either, if he threatens her she needs to go to the police right then! I hope she gets to work and is ok! Please keep us updated! It makes me sick when you see people like this that think they can get away with being like that!!

So i talked to her again and she did call the cops, and basically asked if someone could go with her to get her stuff, and they said they cant go unless he is home and give them permission to go in.
and they also said they would not stand there and wait an hour while she packs her stuff, and she told them that everything is packed already and she just wants to grab it and go, so they agreed to do that!

she kept saying how nervous she was to go back. i said as long as the cops are there there is nothing to be nervous about! I offered to go with her, but she didnt want me to be involved!
so i told her that she need to be on the phone with me until the cop shows up and i need a phone call the second she leaves the place!!

i also told her that im over being supportive of her being with him and that if she ever goes back to him im going to be soo mad! but she swears on her fathers grave she wont so im hoping she sticks too it! i will keep you updated when she gets home tonight

Wow Jess....I know how hard it must be on you to watch her go through this. I am sending extra prayers that she finds the strength to stick to her guns & really leave once & for all. Are there any local womens shelters for battered women she can go to, to stay in the meantime??

Im sure that with her father getting sick & dying this has put her self-esteem through the ringer & maybe in some weird way she felt she deserved everything that was happening to her. but NO ONE deserves that...NO ONE. If you are able to - help her get into a support group of some kind for battered women - she will need that so when she has a weak moment later on down the line is not doomed to repeat this mistake again.
