Newlywed advice - helping sis w/her wedding now.

Hi everyone,

I got married on 3/15/03 and this is the first time I've been on since then (I think). My sister has just asked me to be her MOH and I am sooooo thrilled.

She wants to have a small wedding - 65 people - in a restaurant-like environment. Think classy, but fun where she can feel like a princess and wear a wedding gown. They want a small dance floor and room for a classical trio to perform.

Any ideas? They don't want to spend too much money. I thought about Riverview, The Atrium at Dowling, Captain Bill's smaller room...any other ideas?

They want great atmosphere.

THANKS!
willow

George Washington Manor in Roslyn is beautiful with great food & service. I don't think they are too expensive.

Congrats to your sister!!

Re: Newlywed advice - helping sis w/her wedding now.

We originally were planning a wedding that size and my favorite sites that I looked into were...

Three Village Inn (where I got married )
George Washington Manor
Watermill
Millerage Cottage

Good luck and congrats to your sister

I remember someone on here saying they used Collins and Main in Sayville. I don't know much more than that, but you can check it out!

At Chateau Briand there is a room called the Europa, has a nice small dance floor and it is a beautiful room, that is where we had our cocktail hour. The food is awesome and the service is 2nd to none.
