If you're staying at a hotel wedding night pack a bag the night before. Most importantly- don't forget makeup remover! Your makeup artist will put on quite a bit- probably too much for soap and water.

Also, make sure DH has a change of clothes and shoes! Mine had to sit around in his tux at the after party while our (very helpful) MOH drove to our house to get him a change of clothes!

Remember that guests want to be where you are. If you are sitting, they will be sitting; If you are at the bar, that is where they will be. If you want everyone on the dance floor, get your booty out there and work it.

Wait a few days before you leave for your honeymoon. We had one whole day in between and we thought that would be enough time. It wasn't. We didn't digest the wedding yet and we were already off on the honeymoon. We spent the whole first day sleeping, we felt like we were wasting our honeymoon. We could have used another day or two to just relax and have everything sink it.

Go with vendors in your gut you can trust.... if somethign goes wrong they are the ones who will take care of it

Pick your bridesmaids wisely & make sure they know what you want from them on the wedding day. I had 4 of my bridesmaids do hair & makeup & the 5th one didn't do anything & it really stood out in the photos. I didn't want to be a bridezilla, but didn't make it clear to her that she should also get hair & makeup done. Later I found out - she really didn't want to be a bridesmaid ..... so pick them wisely!!

Invest in personalized items that you can wear (just married t-shirts with the wedding date on it, bride and groom tank tops or shirts, etc.) It makes things feel more special and also, people seem to love seeing those - it got me and my DH special perks when wearing them. We got a free drink each from JetBlue and lots of people came up to us and congratulated us at the airport and on our honeymoon. It was worth it and I wish we did it right before the wedding as well.

It's normal to second guess some of your choices- especially your dress- just try and remember what you first loved about it that made you buy/book it in the first place!

Bring a cooler to your hotel. I forgot this and we had gotten chilled champagne from our hotel and the cake and food leftovers from our caterers and I was panicked trying to figure out how to store these items to keep them fresh. we had a mini fridge in our room but luckily FIL went out that night and bought us a cooler so that everything was able to make it home after a long ride the day after.

Have all of the questions you want to ask your vendor written down ahead of time, otherwise, you'll forget them!

Don't get overwhelmed with the 'details'. Shop around, trust amazon and ebay and all that stuff - you can get things cheaper and still look super elegant without burning a hole in your pocket. :)
