Get everything in writing!!! Make sure your event, photo-shoot, rehearsal dinner, etc. is penned exactly to your specifications. If there is a detail that you believe important and you think 'oh, yea, I'm sure they'll include that', the place probably will not, or they forget. Make sure everything you want, every detail is included in your contract. & Get copies of your contract!

Try to remember that it is your day and people should be glad to celebrate with you. But not everyone will be available to celebrate with/help you all the time.
People have other things going on in their life and maybe you don't know about it. Please try to be understanding if someone can not attend your bach party/bridal shower or suddenly needs to step out of the BP. Something may have happened in their life but they are not ready to share what that is just yet.
Yes, the day is about you and your FH, but not everyone else in the world is revolving around you for the months leading up to the wedding. Try to be understanding of other people.

There's a ton of stuff to plan, but trust your taste. Once you make a decision, stick with it and stop looking--move on to the next thing on your list.

stick to a theme, even if its just a color scheme. it pulls everything together.

Don't freak out on your wedding day, fo so many reasons, but this one stuck with me: No one will remember that something went wrong, but everyone will remember the bride flipping out because something did go wrong. So sit back, relax, and go with the flow!

Expect a few people to randomly NOT show up to your wedding with no explanation whatsoever. If I had known this before the wedding I probably wouldn't have been as annoyed as I was by this after the wedding, and I probably wouldn't have invited those guests in the first place but oh well! You live and learn! Overall, just don't sweat the small stuff and enjoy every minute of the best day of your life!!

Dont worry about the details because they wont matter. SOMETHING will go wrong on your day, you just have to smile and enjoy yourself. I lost power at my recption and lost the last 45 minutes.... how did i react? I danced around an iPhone. now my wedding is memorable forever.

family and friends will always put their two cents int. You don't need t o do everything they suggest. Respectfully decline the suggestion and do what you know you will be happy with. Its your day and you shouldn't have to compromise for other people's issues.

Almost everything will go as planned. Don't sweat the small stuff... my hair dresser was 30 minutes late and they were so rude.... it didn't let it bother me I tipped them less. I wasn't going to let anyone kill me good mood.

tune out your overbearing BMs
have someone in your bridal party that is mellow, it will HELP!!!!

DO NOT send out a million save the dates because you when you need to cut the list of invites, they might be one of them

say hey, how are ya thanks for coming as soon as you can!

dance a lot and remember...in one ear and out the other...advice advice advice, you do what you want, you DO NOT invite who you don't want, get great shoes and a back up pair..kiss that man like there is no tomorrow

Bring slippers, after being in heels for most of the day your feet will thank you.

Limit your choices to two or three vendors to avoid confusion. Your life will be made so much easier.

Best advice I can give is-its your day and nobody else's. Close your eyes in the middle of the dance floor while dancing with your new husband and remember how happy you feel bc its a moment that you can rememeber forever. I am so glad I did this and I close my eyes and remember how I felt. It makes me happy inside :)
