Newlywed Luncheon???

Original post by Just Cindy

I was thinking about this and we had the '09 shower and then after we all get married thats it.

What about a newlywed luncheon??? All the '09 girls could get together and talk about being married and just have a nice lunch together.

What do you girls think?

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Milk and Sugar but its not Nassau if thats what they are looking for. Its about $30 a head for an event and it is only available on Sunday afternoons for private events. Also it has a 50 person minimum to get it to yourself and if we are just looking for a table its a tough place to have something as it can be loud.

I've heard great things about them! Does the price include wine/beer? That's a biggie for this crew!! The 09 Shower was definitely fun!!

This is so exciting! Cindy or anyone who is planning, please let me know if I can help! I'd love to volunteer!! I'm a driver (live in western Nassau), and am open to Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, wherever! It would be great to do something reasonably priced but big and fun!!!

I think this should be a group planning effort. If we come up with a list of possible places I dont mind calling and getting prices.

Just wondering should this be just a luncheon or do we want to do more like games or something like that??? Like we had at the shower?

maybe we can get some fabulous vendors to donate some prizes...like a day after shoot, or a day of beauty or a g/f to dinner for 2 for you and hubby...

I wouldn't mind helping to plan. Let me know what I can do. I am not good about getting people to give things so calling vendors would not be the job for me, but let me know how else I could help. I am super creative and good with graphics and design. So maybe I could help in decor or some aspect like that. Cindy let me know what I can do.

I am so excited because I started chatting on here somewhere between the shower sign up cut off date and the actual 09 shower. I was so jealous when you all went.

I was just thinking... Do you think vendors will give stuff to newlyweds. I think they tend to give stuff at the shower to drum up business. Still not volunteering for this job because I am all wrong for it... but maybe we should look at people who advertise on LIFamilies. Aim it more at starting life together.

I def want to do it next year after the holiday crunch...maybe lat February. We could bring our photos so we can see and just catch up. I think a nice lunch on a Sunday afternoon would be so nice

And nothing too crazy price wise either...should we do it in Nassau???

Any ideas for a place that would accommodate a larger group that isn't too expensive???

feb would be great!! nassau would be great too...ill start thinking of some places!

Agreed. Feb/Nassau. Both Great!

Totally agree with February and Nassau. And I think it's so cute to do a thing where we all bring our pics! :)
