Household chores. Most of us don't love them but how did you divide them up??? Does your DH share in them with you? Do you think that it's equal??
I will say my DH is pretty good and I am pretty lucky, just don't let him wash any pots- YUCH
We do the food shopping together
If I am cleaning he will usually clean another room while I work on one. He does the vacuuming and shares in the sweeping (lots of wood floors) Dishes, whoever turns the dishwasher on, the other has to unload it. He makes the bed everyday (but since he works opposite shift he has no choice)
The one room he will not clean is the bathroom.

Re: Newlywed question for March 28th
It is NOT even unfortunatly, but as of now Im somewhat ok with it, once I have kids, it will have to be more 50/50. Right now DH Vaccums and does the laundry, and takes the garbage out ( a mans job IMO anyway..lol)
I do all the shopping( food shoppping etc) , Clean every room, some more then once a week , pay the bills, and almost all the cooking etc...

Re: Newlywed question for March 28th
Usually I get a lot of the chores done by myself, mainly because I'm here home alone a lot while DH is working. I mostly do them out of boredom, but DH will help out as much as possible when he's here. We go grocery shopping together on his days off and he always helps out with the laundry and the dishes. I never even have to ask him to put the garbage out either. He's great.

Dh will do whatever I ask him to do. Absolutely anything - clean the bathroom, change the sheets, do the laundry, take out the garbage, make dinner, etc ... but ... I have to ask him. He never *thinks* to do it on his own and that's the part that gets me frustrated. He lets me plan out what needs to get done and wil take care of anything I ask.
Wow, this sounds exacxtly like my DH!!
Anthony will do anything when I ask him .. but its just the fact that I have to ASK HIM that gets on my nerves
I mean how many times can you reach OVER the sink that is filled with your dirty dishes until you think to youself 'self, maybe I should wash these dishes'
The only things he doesn't do (and I don't ask him to do) is clean the bathroom and do the laundry.. Everything else we try to split 50/50. Indeed he is a much better vacuumer and floor mopper than I am, so he's welcome to it!
I'm going to join this club. Brad doesn't take the initiative to do much cleaning at all. I always have to ask! He does it when I ask, but it gets to me that he never thinks of it on his own!!

Re: Newlywed question for March 28th
He probably does more than I do in the way of household chores
WE usually go to the grocery store together. I do the laundry and the bathrooms and he takes care of the kitchen. He pretty much always washes the dishes. I usually start dinner and he finishes it when he comes home. We're about half and half with the vaccuuming.

Re: Newlywed question for March 28th
My DH does all the cooking because he loves cooking. He also takes out the garbage and put a new bag in. I do most of the cleaning in our apt. and organizing. I don't mind the cleaning. We both do the food shopping together. We take turns to buy household items like TP, paper towels, body wash, hand soap, etc.
