Newlywed Question of the Day.

Would you ever consider a career change? (A drastic one)

I would love to be a makeup artist, but I'll never make that jump.

I'm a programmer (write software) ... if i were going to change careers, i'd probably go into being a teacher for little kids (like 2-5 year olds) ... i used to be a camp counselor and really enjoyed it.

BUT, i'd never actually make the switch because of the salary decrease ... plus, i kinda like my job (usually)

I'd love to be a teacher too! But can't make the change cause of the salary decrease as well.

I would love to open up a sanctuary for abused, abandoned and neglected animals...but unless I strike it rich, I'll never be able to afford that. In the meantime, I'll take solace in knowing that the three cats DH and I have are ones that are rescues...it's my own lil' animal shelter in the house. LOL.

I'd also love to open a vegetarian cafe, but restaurants are so difficult to keep in business...especially a specialized one like that.

I absolutely would. I'd love to go into proofreading and/or writing.

Also, if I ever got the chance, i'd love to work on movie soundtracks! Every time I listen to music, I think to myself, 'Oh this would be good for this type of scene...'

Possibly. I LOVE my job (teacher) and worked so hard to get here, but the market for teachers is awful.

The only other career I'd really be interested in would be a personal trainer and nutrionist.

I would absolutely consider a drastic career change! In fact, I am beginning the process of doing just that! Drastic in the sense that I have worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 10 years (undergrad intern through current job) and I would like to leverage / apply my experiences but in an entirely new industry.
