Any of you get married at St. Demetrios Orthodox Church in Merrick or know someone who has? My fiance and I are both Orthodox and we wanted to get married at St. Demetrios. We are not members of the church so they told us it costs $900 to use the church and another $250 to have someone there (we're getting married next Labor Day). Is this how much it is or am I being taken for a ride?

I dont know anything specifically about that church but I have heard that church fees can run you around that much. Did you ask scorps1027 how much shes paying for her church in Garden City?

Yeah I sent her FM. Just my luck, after 8 months of church hunting, yesterday we got the OK for the Greek Orthodox Church and today we got the Ok for St. Paul The Apostle Church in Brookville. Now we have to choose between the two.
