NEWLYWEDS NEW YEAR'S NY CITY GTG!!!

Since we are not invited to the wedding of the year and we we choose to go we have to pay to attend. We have to really plan our own GTG

What do you ladies say

I wouldn't go to that wedding thing. I don't mind paying at all - a flat fee with dining & entertainment is wonderful. But I am not in the market for a tux, limo or dj.

The last GTG was awful for the NW's in terms of participation and we couldn't even chat since there was so much going on.

When Ron implied that there was something in the works, I thought it would be something not geared towards the brides but to the NW's and the Moms.

So what should the NW's do?

That is my feeling too, he should set it up for them and give us our own. I guess we have to remember they are in the business of Brides not Newlyweds and Parents...oh well.

I am do wedding planning out that I don't want to see another invitation for the next 50yrs.

I think after all the monies we shelled out in planning we should not have to pay to share our knowledge or sit around and watch a bunch of brides win prizes

I think Jan might be best since these things take forever to get together AND Decembers are kind of tight in terms of most schedules.

Hoepfully most of the tourists will be cleared out by then too

Shamma: Change the thread to call it the NW GTG something so more people will read it.

Maybe we should look for a place thats not quite as busy as the places we have gone to before. Like maybe a smaller restaurant that will be less noisy and more 'ours'? Just a suggestion.

I do have something in the works for the newlyweds. Just thought I'd invite you all to the wedding of the year as well! You know, being kind!
We are putting the finishing touches on the parent/kids GTG which was announced on the Parent board and are awaiting some replies so we can announce the Newlywed GTG.
