NEWLYWEDS OR THOSE WHO ALREADY HAVE CHILDREN

Who will you choose as your children's godmothers and why, for those that has already made the decision, tell me why you chose the people you did.

My sister. Very obvious reasons. I only have one and i trust her with my child's life.

My sister- because she is a fab mother!!! I know she will take good care of my kids.

I am the godmother of both of her kids.

For my first ( god willing)- I will choose my best friend, my moh and my recent Sil ( she married my husband's brother) becuase she is my bestest firend and i dont have any sisters- my Bil will be godfather.

For my second child ( god willing)- I think it will have to be one of dh sisters although I dont know which one becuase he has 3 and my Brother- will be Godfather

My BF and her husband.

My sister is Jewish so she couldn't be otherwise it would have been her and my BIL.

Steve's 2 sister wouldn't know relgion if it walked up and grabbed their butts

My sister for sure. I feel the same as Curly I trust her with my life and couldn't think of anyone more deserving of the role.

no godparents for my children...but even the thought of thinking about a guardian scares me...

both John and I have issues with our siblings...ahem...attitudes - equal on both sides...

not sure if I would want to put that pressure on my mom...

its official...I cannot have children!!!!

I'm picking my SIL (brother's wife) and brother to be godparents. The choice was not easy because I really wanted only my brother as godfather (they have a very off again/on again relationship that is volitile). My brother has been there and done more for me than anyone ever has, even my husband. I didn't want hard feelings if I only picked him and not her. Their positions are totally figuritively because my sister is being named legal guardian if something happens because I don't think I would be comfortable having either my brother or his wife raise my child. It's a very sticky situation....No one is a consideration for either position on his families side.

When we have children, I want my my sister (ALIASPOOK) to be the Godmother. I never discussed with my DH but I think he would agree.

Why is this? what about friends and BP members etc, no one that you are close with you would want to take care of your child if you are no longer able to???

Not at my church. I know some people said that they have had one Jewish Godparent but my church said no

My Pastor said how can someone who is Jewish teach them about Christianity.

I'm Protestant BTW

for the first baby - my MOH who is my cousin and BF and Bob's brother.

baby #2 - my brother and his wife. have a potential issue in that i am excluding Bob's sister, but i will cross that bridge when i get to it

My daughter has my BIL and Matt's aunt. My older son has my brother and my SIL and my youngest has my other BIL and an old friend. I am happy with all my choices except for my youngests godmother. We lost touch when she got involved with the wrong man and now Anthony doesn't have the godmother he should.
