Newlyweds...this bride2be needs your help...
Hi Girls,I know I'm not supposed to really post here, but I didn't know where else to turn...here's my dilemma...
I wanted Jacqueline Nicole for my makeup...really like the airbrushed look....however, I spoke to Jacqueline today and she's booked!
So she recommended Jennifer from Fairytale Makeovers, however her website, isn't working, nor is even an answering maching picking up the phone...
She also mentioned Oksana...but she doesn't do airbrushed....and some said Jackie from I Make Up you.....left Jackie a message today, still waiting to hear from her.
So now here's where I need your help....basically advice, recommendations...who else can I contact? And remember I'm looking for an airbrush application....
TIA

Re: Newlyweds...this bride2be needs your help...
Can I ask why you're set on having an airbrushed application of your foundation? Have you had it done before? I'm not sure who else does airbrushing, but have you tried emailing Jennifer from Fairytale? I had her originally booked for my October wedding and I used airbrushing. I used Oksana for my wedding without the airbrushing, and I was just as happy, if not more so, with her work.

Re: Newlyweds...this bride2be needs your help...
Well here's the thing with regular makeup and me...it really just does not last with me- so when I heard about airbrushed makeup thru LIW, I was ecstatic, mainly bc its supposed to last the whole day, and I know I'm gonna be crying ( I still cry watching my sisters wedding video and she got married in 2001!) so I just need something that will last....any ideas...

Re: Newlyweds...this bride2be needs your help...
I can tell you that the only difference between the regular makeup and the airbrushed makeup is how it goes on, not the quality. My makeup lasts a whole five minutes when I put it on myself, but when you are getting your makeup done professionally for your wedding, it's done in layers and will last all day if done properly.I would at least suggest that you have a trial with someone who does airbrushing and someone who doesn't and see if you can really tell the difference. Have an open mind. That's all I can offer. Sorry.

Just wanted to add- I had the airbrush done by JN and it was really great. I felt it lasted much longer than regular foundation.I had 2 trials with JN, one with airbrush and one without.

Re: Newlyweds...this bride2be needs your help...
The airbrushing is better, but only if the foundation used is a good quality. I had one artist do it & it stunk, then I had Jennifer (from fairytale) do it & she did a half face of airbrush & a half face of regular....the airbrush side lasted all day & night, didn't make be breakout (regular makeup usually does) and the blush & eye shadow lasted longer too....The thing with Jenn is that you have to try her a couple of times & at weird hours...she has a really screwed up schedule....but she is totally worth it & was super reliable on my wedding day.

Denise from Angel Eyes does airbrushing. I used her but didn't use the airbrushing. She is wonderful. My make-up stayed on all day and looked just as fresh at midnight as it did at nine in the morning!! I agree with Jann, I would get a trial with and without airbrushing. Regular make-up when applied correctly by a professional will stay put!!

I had airbrushing done for my wedding by Marie Katz at it and she were incredible! I would highjly recommend both. My makeup stayed on all day and night, and Marie was a calming sweet presence on that day. She is a vendor on his board.

Re: Newlyweds...this bride2be needs your help...
I had wanted to get the airbrushing done becuase I have oily skin and I was worried about regular foundation sliding off my face. Well JN was booked for my date so I used Oksana. I was disappointed when she told me that she doesn't do airbrushing, but I loved the way my makeup came out at the trial. On the wedding day it lasted all day (except for my lipstick of course). All I had to do was remember to blot with blotting papers and powder my face. She doesn't put foundation on like us normal girls would do it; she uses a makeup brush and 'paints' it on, then also uses a sponge to blend and blot it on.I would really give her a try. I was VERY impressed with her, and I'm soooo picky about how people do my makeup.

Oksana doesn't use ordinary foundation - I believe she said its professional makeup like they use for people on TV so its a different consistency - she has this whole huge palette so she can custom blend according to your skin type. I used her and I LOVED her so IMO, its worth a trial at least so you can decide for yourself!

I had the airbrushing done, it felt so light like I had nothing on my face. I didn't have professional makeup done to I can't compare it...but all I do know is the airbrushing was well worth the money...

Defiantly call jennifer and make an appointment for a trail (if she is free) She did a perfect job on my makeup and my girls makeup, all who hav ebeen in weddings before and this was the first time they said they loved their makeup. She is so sweet and so are her helpers if needed she felt lkike part of my BP. THe airbrushing is so great, no one s,mudge and it lasted until the next mornign perfectly (I was too tired to wash it off after the wedding)
