Newlyweds...Where did you Go...

I thought it would be FUN...

Where did you go for your HoneyMoon???

We went to Punta Cana, DR.
We stayed in the Bavaro Paradise Resort. We stayed there for 1 week.

Then we stayed in Disney, at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. We were there for 5 nights, 6 Days.

Then we did Univlersal for a day.

Then we stopped by DH's parents house after our HM ended. We stayed with them for 4 days.

We had a Wonderful Time.

I hope everyone shares where they went for their HM...

Re: Newlyweds...Where did you Go...

We didn't go on a honeymoon.....we paid for our entire wedding and by the end of the day, we just didn't want to go into debt for a vacation. SOOOOOOOOO we are planning to go on our one year. The Maldives is the number one on our list so far.........

Re: Newlyweds...Where did you Go...

from a website... not sure how accurate --

WHERE TO BE REMORSELESSLY DECADENT
MALDIVE ISLANDS, REPUBLIC OF MALDIVES
visitmaldives.com
Nestled on the equator in the Indian Ocean, the Maldive Islands form an archipelago comprised of 26 naturally occurring atolls. Luxury and élan is the draw here, as 100 of the 2,000 islands have become private resorts, offering an unrivaled and secluded exotic escape. Flights arrive in the island capital of Male, but the beauty begins upon boarding a sea plane to the surrounding atolls which house the five- and six-star resorts. While flying overhead, the varying landmasses take shape underneath, and the azure waters are perfectly broken up with pristine patches of white sand and emerald palm fronds. One such niche is the award-winning Hilton Maldives Resort and Spa on Rangali Island - perched on two islands and linked by a bridge. Water villas with wooden interiors sit on stilts atop the ocean.

The average cost of a trip to the Maldives is $2,000. Flight time from New York is 30 hours.

How do I keep this a secret from my hubby!!! There is NO way he will go knowing the length of the flight. UGH!

Thank you for looking into this for me/us. I guess I have A LOT more research ahead of me ...........

We went to St Lucia, The Regency for eight nights. We stayed up in the bluffs overlooking the ocean in a two level villa with our own plunge pool , so beautiful.

Then we went to the new Sandals White House in Jamaica for five nights, its on the opposite side of the island from where all the other resorts in Jamaica are. It was also beautiful, peaceful and we had and ocean view room, the beach was amazing, very huge and very white sand. Also totally different feeling then the other side of Jamaica, just endless untouched land and very peaceful and quiet.

We cant wait to go back to St Lucia someday.......the prettiest place we have ever seen so far...
