NEWS REPORT: Child's remains found near missing girl's home

I really hope Caylee Anthony is still alive, but part of me wants this ordeal to be over for the family that cares about her (I do not think the mom does anymore, and I think the grandparents may be in cahoots with the mom).

Story:

ORLANDO, Fla. – Sheriff's deputies say the skeletal remains of a small child have been found near the Orlando home of a missing 3-year-old girl.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office says a utility worker found the body early Thursday, about a half mile from the home of Caylee Anthony's grandparents.

There is nothing that immediately indicates that the bones belong to Caylee Anthony, whose mother Casey Anthony has been charged with murder.

Casey Anthony insists that she left the girl with a baby sitter in June, but did not report her missing until July.

How sad for that child - whomever's remains they found!!!

As for her mom, that whole story about having left her with a babysitter was already disproven since it was discovered the 'babysitter' didn't even meet Caylee!!!

What I want to know is - how did investigators not find this before a utility worker did? The body is a 1/2 mile from the grandparents' home. Are you kidding me??? Even if it's not Caylee, they should have found this before now.

So, so sad. There are so many people in the world dying to have children, or have lost one to illness, accidents, etc - I have a cousin who accidentally ran over his own 3 year old daughter a few years ago -- all of these people would be more than happy to have had a girl like Caylee in their lives. And this biatch goes and kills her????? For what? I can't wait to hear WHY this little gorgeous girl was killed. What could be the reason for killing a little girl? Money problems? Did she yell too much for the mom to handle? Did she take away too much of Mom's precious 'alone time'???

UGH. Gets me really worked up.

This is horrible. I do just hope that the 'mother' pays for what she did. Maybe I am too naive but its so shocking to me to think that someone can do something so horrendous to their own child.

What makes stories like this even worse is there are so many 'Safe Haven' drop off places -- churches, hospitals, etc. No questions asked. Just drop the child and GO. Why don't people just do that -- why do they harm helpless children. Makes me sick.

Friends also admitted that she constantly told them that her life was over bc she had caylee and she couldn't go out or do anything anymore, especially hang out with her boyfriend.

I definitely think the mom did it - I just can't say whether it was intentional or an accident yet. I guess no one can - I just mean I'm not sold on either story yet.

But to think 'My life is over' because you have a baby - wow. I can imagine it's hard when you are young and you aren't ready to give up teenage/young adult fun yet, but you know what? Unless she was date-raped, she got herself pregnant, right? It's your responsibility, in my eyes, to be RESPONSIBLE for your actions. You find out you're pregnant, you decide you want to keep it - then you must step up to the plate and take care of it. Period. It's gotta be hard - I'm not doubting that - and I know there will be people who say I have no idea what I am talking about. I don't have experience with the situation, no - but it just makes sense. If you get pregnant, no matter what your age, you must decide to do what's best for the kid always.And not cry because you can't go to the bar anymore until 2AM. This is a little person you have now, not just a nuisance.

I agree with you

That is the thing. If it was an oopsy pregnancy, which i believe it was, she had the chance to say, you know what, i'm not ready for this and I have options. I can have an abortion, I can give the baby up for adoption, etc. I understand that some religions frown upon abortion, but that was NOT the only option she had.

Exactly. I don't know if she was persuaded to keep it by family, or was tempted and wowed by the idea of having a little you - I mean, babies are cute. People can be swayed to think it's all fun and games until you're up every night 7x a night and she won't stop crying.

I wrote a whole article in my college newspaper about this - how if you're not ready to 'do the time' you shouldn't even think about 'doing the time.' Casey Anthony seems to be part of that target audience I was writing for.
