well this scan for whatever reason is huge...it's not THAT big..so yea - with the text shortened it makes a big BIG difference..i just don't have it on the comp. to show. but i totally agree..to many words and not enough space to really get the message. i think i know my answer.. i just have to STOP questioning it lol.

(ps: i'm the most in-decisive person in the world if anyone has noticed lol...i always do this. make a decision - and then at the last minute go nutty it's really annoying)...it's more about the placement and the two different tat's more then anything.

EXACTLY my point. i mean, they both really mean something to me... the cross one the most because it's the lyrics to one of my favorite songs from church..always makes me feel peaceful the amazing grace thing at this point is really just condensing it to avoid regretting a big a** tattoo on my back in years to come....but then my husband goes & says 'well what if u regret simplifying it because the other one is really what means the most to you??' (he's a GREAT help isn't he?? )

I love the simplicity of the statement 'His grace flows down and covers me' I would definitely do that! I think the tattoo is beautiful and so unique. The shoulder tat would be nice but it's not as original and I agree with the shoulder strap being in the way and people wondering what it says.

Just my opinion.....don't forget to show us the finished product.

I just want to add....if this is something that truly has meaning for you (and from what you are saying, I believe it does) then I would go for it. My feelings are that when you get old, who is going to want to look at your back anyway but seriously, it's not like it's a meaningless last minute decision.

I like where you are putting it, I like the entire wording, BUT I don't like the font style. I feel that has such a beautiful meaning, that the font should be more script like. More delicate. HTH

oh i know that! ..the artist is doing is own font...this was just an idea i printed up to send him lol

this is the inspiration behind it in case anyone wants to see/hear it always brings me peace no matter what i'm going through! i was originally going to get the entire first verse tattooed down my back because i just think the words are so beautiful...
