Non traditional albums..anyone?

I love my album but I fell inlove with the leather archival albums where you dont have mats but put the pictures on the page and each page is separated by tissue like paper to preserve it.
Does anyone have a non traditional album thats not digital or 'traditional' But archival type like a scrapbook...

That is the kind of album I am hoping to make on my own. Not sure how yet...but I am picking up my pics from 12th night soon and will ask where I can purchase that type of album.

One of my friend's albums is exactly how you described, very simple, a 5x7 on each page with tissue in between with a leather tie on it. It is gorgeous

OMG what an amazing album. Well i gave in and bougt this today.
DH is going to kill me. The album alone is 199.99, but I will reuse the mats fromth eother album.

That save $$$ right..hope he buys my logic.

You can also buy all the supplies that you will need to complete an album like that on that site.

Just fyi: archival just means its made with materials that will better protect the photos than others. So everyone probably has an archival album.

Sonic those are beautiful too. There are some really good sites out there so people dont have to take what the photographer gives if they dont want.. I liked this one because of the Croc texture and the warranty. It is really rich in color and our names will be in copper lettering.

my album is from jill schwartz
not sure if this loads...it looks like this but for a wedding
it is archival quality, numbered and has tissues between each page...

Actually, as far as I know Archival means more than that...it is the highest quality and longest lasting: meaning it shouldn't yellow over time and all. Specifically for glue, tape or any kind of adheasive for photos.
You definatly want to make sure you use archival glues and such when making the album.

just watched this martha stewart thing a while back and learned stuff...

But keep in mind that there are all different grades of archival products. Just being 'archival' doesnt mean its the highest quality. For example, the archival products used at a musuem will be much better and more expensive than something used on a wedding album.

So I should have said that archival describes the materials used..not the style of the album. Any kind of album can be made with archival materials.
