Re: ~*~*~*~ NWQOTD 11/15/10~*~*~*~

One of my favorite apps and it's sooo simple is prosciutto wrapped shrimp. It's always a hit!

ingrediants
*Shrimp, cooked, deviened, any size but I find the medium work best.
*Prosciuto (deli counter sliced thin)
*Chopped Garlic (store bought in the oil is best)
* Fresh basil leaves
*Olive Oil
* pinch of salt

marinade the shrimp in the olive oil, garlic and salt for at least one hour. Keep refirgierated of course. Cut the slices of prosciutto in half from left to right, (or right to left) to make 2 long strips.

Take the shrimp out and place a basil leave around it, then roll it up in the slice of prosciutto. Keep secure with a toothpick. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 7 minutes at 350. Remove from oven and ENJOYYY!!!

Re: ~*~*~*~ NWQOTD 11/15/10~*~*~*~

I'm weird - my mom makes Hollandaise sauce to put on green beans since I was a kid...and I always called it 'Holiday Sauce'. So it's a must at all holidays!!!

I have two:

For Thanksgiving - FH makes Bourbon Glazed Sweet Potatoes (they are to die for) I always have him make extra & I never give away the left overs.

For Christmas Eve - I love it all but my Nanny (mom's mom) used to make Lingunie with Clam Sauce. Since she has passed my dad makes it & his recipe is perfect.
