Hello ladies!!!!!!

Thanks Shauna for making me newlywed of the week :). I'm sorry I missed the post yesterday. Here's today's question:

In your home would you prefer hardwood floors or carpet?

I've always grown up with carpet and love it! I just feel like it's very clean and cozy. We have hardwood now in our condo and I know it looks so nice but my goddddddddddd those stupid floors do not stay clean! I am a neat freak and scrub them and maybe just a few hours later I notice my socks don't stay white ugh, drives me nuts. DH loves them but I'm seriously considering not having them in our next home even though they're such a value booster . I'm torn, what do you guys think???

I love my hardwood floors! We have two dogs and it makes it so much easier to clean up their fur. Not to mention DH installs/repairs hardwood floors so we can have ours redone anytime we want.

carpet! i feel like you see the dirt even more on the hardwood, and it gets there fast!

Usually my shark steam mop once every 2 weeks. And then I just vacuum/sweep every single day.

i like carpets ... i hate the feeling of a cold wood floor on my feet. BUT i do like the way hard wood floors look. Still, i'd get carpets if i had to choose one

Hardwood floors! My parents are divorced, so I grew up in a house with carpeting and an apartment with hardwood floors. The hardwood is soooo much nicer--the only downside (for me) so that my dog's hair shows up so much easier on it!

I love hardwood floors, except in the bedroom I like carpet.

I like hardwood only because of allergies. No matter how much you vaccum there is still dust that accumulates and my allergies kill me

I grew up always having carpeting all over the house. I love that our house has hardwood floors, love the look of them.

Love my hardwood in my living and dining rooms and the carpets in the bedrooms. I can't imagine bedrooms with wood, but I do love the wood in the other rooms. SO much easier to clean, lol.

Definitely hardwood with a nice area rug over it ! I love the look of shining, beautiful wood and as everyone else said it is much easier to keep clean. Also, I have severe allergies and wood is much better for that.

It's mostly just this time of year when my collie is shedding. If I don't vacuum or sweep every single day there will be clumps of hair rolling around my living room like tumbleweeds.

We have hardwood floors. No carpets. I love the look and feel of hardwood floors, plus with three cats and DH suffering from general year-round allergies, the hardwood floors are so much easier to keep clean than carpet. They don't hold fur/dander like carpet does, so he feels a lot better. He used to have carpet and he was always feeling sneezy, even though he would vacuum every single day.

It's so much easier to maintain than carpets.

1000000000000% hardwood floors - you can always put a nice big area rug to give it that 'warm' feeling......

I HATE carpet......we have wood floors in our apartment now except the bedroom is carpet and I vacumn it like ALL the time!!!

the ONLY place I wouldn't mind carpet is the family room/den but even there I would prob go with the hardwood floors!!!
