Today's question is because I'm sick as a dog, terrible cold/sinus infection and I feel like poo

So that said....



Is your DH good/helpful when you're sick? Does he take care of you well or is he kind of useless?

My answer:
DH tries- but is sometimes fairly useless. He'll definitely go to CVS and get me anything I need but beyond that just sorta lamely says stuff like 'rest and relax...' lol, oh well, I know he tries I guess

DH is not the best with 'sympathy' however I have to give him credit bc he will, like you, get me anything i need and once made me ice cubes made of pedialyte during one bout with a graphic stomach bug!! (i have to remind myself he will never be like my mom when i was sick when i was little so no holding out hope there)

Ditto for my husband. However, my DH makes a great chicken soup.

DH is great actually. Always gets me what I need at the drugstore or anywhere else and checks up on me quite a bit

DH is pretty much the best when I'm sick. I don't even ask for anything, he just goes out of his way to do wonderful things.

I must edit to add that DH just came back from CVS with dayquil, chicken soup and a new box of tissues. he may not be the most 'nurturing' but he at least gets me everything i need!

He's very good to me when I'm sick. Doesn't let me cook (although he doesn't cook...but he does go out for food!)

Last time he even did the dishes.....he NEVER does the dishes!

Not in the least. He's a more stay out of my way kinda person, which is okay by me. I can take care of myself but I just wanna be left alone. But when he's sick, forget about it... it's as if no one in the world has ever been sick before him and no one understands his suffering.

Yep, he's pretty good when I am sick. He will bring me home soup or medicine. He'll cook dinner & clean (which he does often anyway )

YES.

DH is sort of moron about other things... but he's GREAT when I'm sick.

He will make me soup, get me medicine, put on my favorite movie, draw me a bath, bring me drinks, etc. etc.

JBilllli....if you'll notice - this is your quote! My husband is the absolute best...I adore him. BUT...last April I went to my best friend's bachelorette party and came back with a nasty stomach bug. He was a saint and helped me...however, when HE got hit with it....it was like NO ONE ELSE HAD EVER HAD IT....he was like laying on the bathroom floor moaning...'something is really wrong...this isn't right...' I was like...'get up beeeeeotchhhhh..' Well, at least thats what I was thinking...
