I have 2...

# 1 is a mirror that is shaped like a heart that my grandmother gave me when I was younger.

# 2 is I love Batman and when we first started dating DH made me a collage with photos and a old t-shirt of DH's that he used to wear when he was younger that had the batman logo on it and it was the SWEETEST thing b/c he made it with glue and photos and fabric. It's so special to me.

I have 2 too (other than my e-ring)

One is a scrapbook DH made me with things from our first few months dating (and he later used it to propose to me.)

The other is another scrapbook that was made for me at my shower and it's HUGE - pages made by lots of my family and friends, and everyone in my BP, my mom and my MIL all wrote little paragraphs for the book too. I can't read it too often bc it always makes me cry!

I also have two.

1 is my violin

2 is my diamond stud earrings that were made out of my grandmother's engagement ring and given to me on my 16th birthday. I never ever wear them, only for super special occasions (like the wedding!).

Three things:

1. My wedding ring for (hopefully) obvious reasons.

2. A framed letterpress poem from Lucille Clifton. As a writer, she was a huge inspiration to me. Everytime I look at that poem, I think 'If Lucille can do it, so can I.' So cheesy but true.

3. A note from my mom when I was little. I wrote a letter to the toothfairywhen I was around 5, and I asked her how she learned to fly. My mom (as 'Sparkles the Toothfairy') wrote a response back telling me that the only way to learn to fly is by going to college--as a five year-old, I bought a book on Harvard the next day . I think that's where my drive for education started, and I'm so glad I have that note still to look back on.

wow that's hard:

1. My Kindle! DH bought it for my for my bday last year. I read constantly so the kindle has become my new BFF.

2. My diamond earrings that I bought myself. I bought them for myself when I turned 30 and was so proud that I did!

A small lighthouse statue that my Dad gave me before he died. I smile everytime I unexpectedly see a lighthouse, I know it's him saying hello

My first stuffed animal, that was waiting for me at home when I was brought back from the hospital when I was born, a bunny named Carrots. He now wears Angel's collar, making him even more special to me.

I really dont have any treasured possessions other than my pictures but I have them saved everywhere.

I have lost all the possessions that were dear to me once so the material stuff doesnt really matter to me anymore...my memories mean the most to me now.
