Ok so since we had so much fun yesterday with our theme songs, let's do a spin-off of that one.

What song defines your relationship with DH? Was it played at your wedding?

Ours is definitely, without a question, Journey's Don't Stop Believing. We met over 10 years ago, we stayed together the entire 4 years I went away to college, and still stood strong when I came home. And I'm convinced the only reason we're still together is because we both wanted it to work so badly, so we made it work, as hard as it was.

It was definitely played at our wedding. It was our last song

I would say Alicia Keys- That’s how strong my love is. We met, fell in love and got engaged very quickly and people really called us crazy when they first found out-the first line in that song is- “Some people may call me crazy for falling in love with you”. We were going to have it as our first song, but then heard Otis Redding’s song by the same title and went with that.

It was our first dance song... 311's 'Love Song'. DH and I broke up for about a month maybe 3 years ago? It was hard on both of us but DH always said this song made him think of me...

'However far away, I will always love you, whatever words I say, I will always love you.'

A month later we got back together and started looking for a place to live together! We moved in together a month after that.

We have a whole album - The Cure's 'Disintegration'. If it wasn't for that album, we would not be together. I borrowed it from him years ago, then when we started talking again, I said that I needed to return it to him. He had already bought a new copy...so I told him that I at least owed him a drink.

We have been together ever since.

It wasn't our first dance, but some of the album was played.

hmm, the first song that comes to mind is Regina Spektor's 'Fidelity.' Before DH and I met, we both realized that our past relationships were really not stellar, and we both put our guards up to take a reflective period of figuring out WHY all of these mistakes were happening. When we met, all the guards came down and it was that moment of 'oh...THIS is what a relationship should be like.' the song talks just about that .

Well Lips of an Angel defined us getting back together, sadly for the girl DH was dating while I was IMing him all the time, LOL. But no I did not want it played at our wedding.


But now I think our wedding song defines us...

Pretty much all our set songs like first dance, second dance, cake cutting, etc they all had meaning to us and at some point while we were dating meant something to us...the lyrics too!

I like this question alot!

Ours would be 'Can't fight this feeling' by REO Speedwagon. The reason is that we work together (that's how we met) and were trying not to like each other because we worked together and saw each other every day. We all know dating a coworker can be very risky. Anyway, the song would remind me of the two of us before we dated because we both knew we liked each other, would flirt and were trying to fight the feeling.


ETA- It actually wasn't played at our wedding. I thought about making it our 1st dance song and decided against it because 1) DH said it was way too cheesy 80s and 2) at that point we weren't fighting any feelings anymore so I didn't think it was a good 1st dance song. So it wasn't played at the wedding but I still love the song (even if it is cheesy 80s).

i would say smile by uncle kracker...i wanted it to be our wedding song but dh thought it was too fast..so we made it for our highhlight section in the bideo..he now says he wishes we used it lol..but we both love the song and think it fits us

just about every song we picked for the wedding had a special meaning to us and defined our relationship. From our entrance song 'I'm a Believer' (the Smashmouth version from Shrek, to our cake cutting song 'Till there Was You' by the Beatles. But the two that really meant the most to us were:

At Last by Etta James - we had my cousin (a professional singer) sing it during our reception

and our First Dance Song - Taking You Home by Don Henley - we love it because of the lyrics:
