NYC Commuters- ? for you

this may sound silly, but i rarely go into the city so I'm not sure how this would work.

DH, myself and another couple are thinking of going to AC for the weekend in 3 weeks. We wanted to take the AC train, but obviously we'll need to take the train into penn.

here's my silly question. If we get round trip tickets from babylon to penn, can we use the return trip a few days later? Or do we have to get 1 way tickets to penn, and then on the way home get another 1 way back to babylon.

You can use the roundtrip home a couple days later, couple weeks, couple months even. When it's issued it'll give you an expiration date.

I think they expire 2 weeks later? Maybe a month?

In any case, you're safe!

Re: NYC Commuters- ? for you

Yea they changed the expiration date but doing it w/in a couple days you should be totally fine!!!!

Just make sure you have extra cash on you if come home during a weekday and it's peak time.. or go into the city during peak time. You'll have to pay a step up fee.

Re: NYC Commuters- ? for you

ps: there's a groupon right now for the AC bus ... it leaves from LI (from 3 diff places i think) and you can return the following day (not more than that though). not sure how long you're going for but it might make sense for you.

otherwise, yes, i think the train tickets are valid for 2-3 months from your purchase date
