so after reading thru the hot mess that was that crazy thread from last nite----i was thinking...do you guys think the word 'offended' is entirely overused these days, ESPECIALLY on these boards?
like if someone says something like was said on the 08 board a few days ago about how they at things brides go crazy over, now that they are a newlywed. after that there were all these 'i'm offended by what you said.'
i feel like on here and LIF ---people are 'offended' about anything and everything. i mean--its a messsage board of strangers....what are you getting offended about! i just don't understand it...maybe because it takes a LOT to offend me...but when did so many women become such whiny b*tches?

because many times when i see the SAME ppl posting about stressing over the SAME useless crap---it seems to me that they are focused on the wrong things. heck you can even sense by their posts that they may not even be that much in love.....they just want the wedding. i've seen it here--and even in real life. those are the ones that wind up after the wedding saying 'gee--what now? i'm not a pretty pretty princess anymore...and i have to stare at his face for the next 50 years' and realize they made a big deal about the one day vs. the rest of their life
you don't have to agree with me---obviously i don't expect you to...and of course you coming over here and making a stand isn't gonna change my opinion either.

This is what I think.....if you get offended by someone giving their opinion regardless of the topic you need to NOT ask for an opinion b/c every one has one and they are NOT all going to be good!
If you are offended by someones thoughts on a topic you can respond to them and say why you dont agree-but there is not reason to bash them. Its their opinion and thats the way they feel and vice versa. I dont expect everyone to agree with me....etc.
But I love drama...I love how people get all hot under the collar when someone says something that they didnt expect and its FANTASTIC to me!!! I really enjoy it! Peoples reactions is what life is all about to me, I love reading people...I can tell you where 50% of these girls come from and the kind of relationships they have just by their responses to threads and posts.
And YES-I guarantee some of them WILL be divorced shortly after marriage b/c they said yes based on the fact that they can have party...NOT saying this to start drama...saying b/c I wholeheartedly believe this.

ITA I think to tell B2B's that what they're stressing over is silly is not productive when its posted directly to someone's thread, its better for married 08er's to start a thread on 08 all by itself like we had on 07, of things you wouldn't have stressed over in hindsight. Because like they say, hindsight is 20/20.....I think by doing that, B2B's can read what NW's are thinking AFTER the big day......and maybe that can help them realize its not the end of the world if your petal cones aren't perfect. and if it doesn't help, and they still stress out up until the last second of their wedding day, then so be it, they will still come on to LIW and vent about things, that's what this site is for. not trying to start drama or counter anyone, just wanted to put in my 2 cents.

I hate that word DRAMA!!! If anyone has a different opinion suddenly we have DRAMA.
In High school my friend was in the drama club she was able to get in because she could sing and dance. I wish it was the disagreement club, that would have made high school a lot more fun.
