Will you eat your cake from your wedding? (the top part that most people save for their anniversary)
That was our plan (loved my cake, and was so looking forward to eating it)
We had our cake top in my sister's freezer because she has a bigger one then we do. She calls me a couple of days ago to tell me that my niece, Kayla (age 5 going on 16) turned off their freezer last week and everything in it was spoiled including 'our cake' Now, we have no cake, and our first anniversary is in 14 days. Still trying to get over it.

Re: On your first anniversary
That really stinks. Maybe you can have the bakery that made your cake recreate a mini version of your cake.

Re: On your first anniversary
I will not b/c our frosting was a cream cheese frosting that was not refrigerated for an entire night. I ate it the next day and got horrible dierreah. We threw it away. DH promised that we will go to the bakery that made it for us, and get a mini version on our anniversary. Persoanlly, I don't want to waste calories on old cake anyway. I want fresh, moist, succulent cake.

Don't feel bad Sabrina. We got home sooooooooo late, we left our cake out,and it was butter cream, so it went bad as well.I plan on having the top duplicated from the same bakery, so we can celebrate and relive the memory of our day. It's the best we can do

Re: On your first anniversary
We're not having ours. When I went to take the flowers off the top to save it, it took off most of the icing. We really didn't have the room for it either and DH isn't a fan of any cake that's not ice cream or from a box so I figured it wasn't worth it.
Even though we're going to be away for our anniversary, I'm thinking of getting some rainbow cookies. We had assorted cookies/pastries on each table and DH loves them (and really loved the ones at the wedding). It's a mix of something from our wedding and something he'll enjoy

Nope, we wrapped it like we were told and put it in the freezer and took it out for our 1 month...and it was the most awful thing I have EVER eaten in my life.

Awww, that's so sad. I say you buy a delicious remake on your 1 year and enjoy that.
