One disappointed newlywed...
I got my proofs back from Silverfox....they are pretty bad. Ted was the photographer. I know this will not stay up here very long b/c no honest posts do, but I felt I had to share b/c all of you are always so happy. The rest of the wedding was fabulous though, as was the honeymoon, it is just sad that there are more pictures of my friends boobs, and no pics of us cutting the cake, my dad lifting my veil, or my mom and dad together. NICE.

I am so sorry to hear this.Did you tell them how disappointed you are and that they basically did not fulfill their obligations to you? What is their response?

Re: One disappointed newlywed...
Well I live in DC, and my mom called me and went through all of them over the phone. WELL, when we got done I called them right up. They said I shouldn't be upset, and that I should really wait until I see them bc my opinion may be different then my parents. I said, are those pics going to magically appear? So they said, 'Let's wait and see, then we can go from there' There really isn't anything to do at this point. I feel defeated.

Re: One disappointed newlywed...
She did say that there are some really nice ones of DH and I dancing and of some tables, but just that she feels that there didn't need to be twelve shots of the cake, especially when he didn't get us cutting it!!... I will have to wait until Thanksgiving to see them though. The weird thing is, he is in doubles that my friends gave me taking pictures of all thist stuff. Where did they go?

Oh thank you. I am usually pretty optimistic, and everything else was so perfect. I am still hoping there are more good than bad.--looking on the brightside

I'm so sorry.I hope this all works out. If you are not happy they really should provide you some refund or try to find a way to compensate you. Photos of boobs is soooo unprofessional!

Oh I am so sorry to hear this. I am hoping they are not as bad as you think! I know sometimes my parents have different opinions than I do. Still, that's no excuse for missing crucial shots and taking inappropriate shots of your friend's chest.I wanted to let you know that I also live in DC and planned my wedding from here, so if you need any help locally, please don't hesitate to FM or email me.
Meanwhile I will keep my fingers crossed for you.

Re: One disappointed newlywed...
Sorry to hear about this.Another thing you might want to do is to ask your friends and other family members to see if they have some good photos of those particular moments that they could share with you. So if your photographer missed those shots, you could fill in with amateur photos from friends and family.

Re: One disappointed newlywed...
This happened to me. Not sure if you saw my post of my proof situation, but I was crying for days. Turns out they did have 4 extra rolls and sent them to me. I didn't have a picture of me and My Mom.
I was thinking- how on earth did they miss that? Was that my fault??? NO- you paid them for their expertise and services. You paid them to get what you thought were 'standard' wedding pictures! Cutting the cake certainly falls under 'standard' to me. Clearly, they have to have extra film if there's a pic of your photographer in the background taking a picture of you and your husband cutting! Make them look for it... I wish you the best of luck and hope they find extra film for you!
(There are only 3 pictures of me and My Mom... not the best- but I'll take it!)

Re: One disappointed newlywed...
I am sorry to hear that BUT I really do think that you should see them first. I know many parents have a different taste on what wedding pictures should be. So don't give up. They can't all be bad. There will also be some bad ones in the bunch.Welcome New Vendors
