PISSED OFF & ANNOYED

ok so ever since Keyspan turned into National Grid we've had issues because they can't get their crap straight. This morning i go to turn on our stove AND OUR GAS IS OFF. no effin' oven so first i call customer service only to be put on hold for 25minutes and then get some A**HOLE with a nasty attitude...i dont even remember the junk he was telling me but none of it made sense & i ended up hanging up on him i WISH i would've gotten his name because i totally would've called/written a letter & complained..ANYWAYS, so dh calls and actually ended up getting someone nice. Apparently our bill is current(which hello, WE KNEW THAT ) and it was 'their mistake'...so now they have to come & turn the gas back on...except they can't give us a time estimate because of all the jobs they have to do today, BUT someone has to be home. I guess it's a good thing i have off today?? SU CKS because today was my errand day...first off i was supposed to watch my nephew at 11 - had to cancel on my poor sil and now she has to find someone last minute, i was supposed to go to dmv, AND i was supposed to go record a voiceover for a commercial & the production company needs it by the weekend... on top of that, i'm supposed to go to the bank because someone used my card number on classmates.com. NOW I CAN'T EVEN GO IN THE SHOWER, because i have to be home 'to sign mandatory paperwork' all because these idiots screwed up. So now, my entire day is delayed...my luck they wont come untill 5oclock and i'll be running around all night trying to get everything done when i should be home enjoying dinner with my husband on my random once in a blue moon night off. ANNOYING. sorry for the long post, just needed to vent my frustration

sorry! Hopefully they will come early and you can still get your stuff done you wanted to do today!!!!!

OHHHH helllll no. They messed up and now you have to spend your whole day waiting around for them.

I would call back tell them how inconvienced you are by their mistake. Them give them your cell phone number and tell them to call you an hour before they plan on showing up. When I schedule LIPA and National Grid appointments that is what I always do and they always call and they even wait if you're a little late.

I hope that works out for you

Or let them come on a day when DH is off and go out for dinner tonight.

ETA: Look at the bright side it is better to be pissed off than pissed on.

DH got home last night and our gas was turned off also. They said they wouldn't be there for at least and hour (I wasn't home), so DH decided to go to his parents for dinner and on the way he gets a message saying we are at your house and no one is home. Duh, you said at least an hour, it was only 15 minutes. He then drives back home, only to find the guy leaving our block. He stops him and the guy says I have other houses to go to, but ok I will come back to yours. DH pulls up the driveway and is waiting for 15 minutes and the guy never shows. DH calls and they say there was a gas emergency and the guy had to go elsewhere, but will be back at some point tonight. This is now around 8:00. They don't come back until 9:45pm. This is the second time this happened, but they are doing work on our road and someone keeps hitting the gas line, is what we are told. I can't stand it!!!

Today is my only day off untill next week...and they have to come today because we have guests staying at our house tomorrow. ugh i just had so much crap to do today! whatever. i'm gonna go take my anger out on cleaning i guess lol. i'm just glad i attempted to put the stove on this morning..otherwise i wouldn't have even known untill later

I like Cat's suggestion to call them back and tell them they're complete A-holes who totally F*d up and you have A TON of stuff to do today because it's your only day off, so they should call you on your cell when they're on their way.

i know i know - but what happened to linda also happened to my brother & sil..and i really dont feel like dealing with another issue. the whole thing was that they claim they called josh the day before they turned it off, BUT THEY DIDN'T. josh's phone has NO RECORD of any phone calls...so i'm not dealing with them coming here & then leaving. instead i'll just sulk lol.

definetly! ps: i also found out that they're allowing us to give our discounts to 'family' as long as it's a three item purchase so YAY! we dont have to make it a headache lol. as long as u get 3things, u can get my 50% off just make sure u let me know when 'cause management has to be there to sign off on the purchase! dont want ya to come there for nothin'!

woot woot, that's great!!! I'll have to see what 3 items I should get - probably two of those fab lip glosses and def the rare minerals! Now to find $ to do this in my budget!!!
