I didnt vote b/c it doesnt really bother me when brides ask questions here (b/c I dont think the newlywed board is all that active anyway) ... but I know it bothers some of the girls to have those posts mixed with newlywed only posts so I wouldnt mind another board.

So I guess Im saying I dont care either way.

I pretty much agree. I like to help future brides & I will answer on Newlyweds if I can, but I admit I don't keep up with BHB so much anymore.
I would answer a question on a new board, but I don't know how much traffic it would get since we have so many boards now.

I'd hate to say, yes, do it, and then have brides post things & get ignored. but if you did it , I'd try & help.

Honestly, there is no need for yet another board. If anything Change the name of Brides Helping Brides to something else. (Bride's Needing Help? Planning? etc, yada, yada, yada)

I scroll & look at BHB all the time and help when I can. There is no need for a separate board for NHB.

I'd like to see another board.

eta: I'd like to see another board because I enjoy the 'newlywed life' threads here. I remember, not so long ago, when the ENTIRE first page of Newlyweds was 'did you use XXX?' 'Should I use 2 photographers?' 'What about XXX, are they good?'

All of the 'newlywed' posts got completely lost in there...

I agree with this as well. Its just another board for us to check all the time. I check BHB all the time. Esp. if the post is something about ' newlyweds I need your help' or 'newlyweds please come in'
Its a nice idea I just don't know how busy it would be.

I personally do get a little annoyed when the Newlywed board gets cluttered with posts that look waaaay too much like BHB. And it's been happening more often lately. I certainly don't mind helping, but I never came over here to ask questions when I was planning out of respect because I looked at the topics and saw that that's not what the newlyweds were talking about.... they had their own issues to discuss, hence, their own board.

But then the problem also was that MANY times, when I posted on BHB, I really wanted an answer from a been-there-done-that bride, not a B2B who was basically just as clueless as me and replies from newlyweds were few and far between. And I really valued those replies.

So, even though I DO feel that there are already too many boards as it is, I have to say that yes, I think a Newlyweds Helping Brides board would be a good thing and I bet it would get alot of use.

and, I think it would be great to add in 'Newlyweds Helping Brides' right under the Newlyweds Board.

Then, everyone gets what they want. Newlyweds get to keep the 'new life' area and B2B can ask us all the questions they want.

I definately do not think there should be ANOTHER board...Unless you want to get rid of some of the other silly boards that still exist.

I didn't mind answering questions here too. BUT it was turning into THE MAJORITY of the questions...And that got ridiculous!

I think it should be left as is...

I mean sometimes you can go onto the BHB and 1/2 of the threads say NWR????

It would be nice if the boards were used the way they are intended to be used...

HOME board...HOME STUFF
NWR...NWR
BHB ...WEDDING STUFF

etc

I am among the ladies who get frustrated by the questions from brides on this board. IMO, the search feature is WAY underutilized.

Plenty of newlyweds (myself included) go on BHB to offer assistance when needed.

I would probably visit a Newlyweds Helping Brides board if one were created.

I also agree with Red about some of the other underused boards.

I agree. It doesn't bother me at all when Brides ask questions here.

Maybe we should just come up with an acronym for B2Bs to use when posting on BHB but looking specifically for Newlyweds to respond? This way when us Newlyweds browse BHB we can quickly see which threads need us most?

Something like putting 'NWR:' in front of the post - but something like 'QFN:' (Question for Newlyweds)

To be fair, the search function is very underutilized by brides and newlyweds alike (how many newlyweds posted the same few questions about albums and video songs, etc..). So I cant point the finger on that one.

Its a big pet peeve of mine too but we could have 100 boards, and people still will ignore the search option!

But i really don't thnk that if the board is entended for NEWLYWEDS that it be cluttered with BHB questions....

JUST LIKE i do not think that NWR questions should flood the BHB.

I think it is time that the boards get used as they were intended to be used.
