Please post pics of Flower Michele and Burton's work

I would love to see bouquets and centerpieces that were done by Flower Michele and Flowers by Burton. I like to see more than what they chose to show on their websites. Thanks ladies!

Re: Please post pics of Flower Michele and Burton's work

I used Burtons and was very, very happy. here are a few photos that i have scanned.
this is my mom's purse corsage

here is the arrangement on my placecandle table (not a great photo of the flowers, really it was to show off the candles)

Here is my MOH and a close friend. They were in a deep purple- but it looks almost black from my scanned photo

Re: Please post pics of Flower Michele and Burton's work

Please explain the placecard table to me. Did you write on the votives? Are they lit? Is that their favor also, or did you have others? Is there a place where they can be purchased inexpensively?
The flowers look beautiful. Did they match your centerpieces? Any pictures of those?

Re: Please post pics of Flower Michele and Burton's work

the placecandles are votives that are wrapped in a vellum. you print the names and table numbers/names on the vellum. they take a lot of time but in the end i was glad I did it. Stef helped me with the printing since you cannot use an inkjet printer for vellum.
you can get the votives on sale at michaels for 2 for $1, then buy the vellum. Susan glued little bows to hers, and they looked great but were a lot more work.

all of my flowers tied together nicely. the centerpieces were low with 3 votives coming up. they had the same flowers that were in the boo-ks but also had hydrangea and other purple flowers.

Also, my flowers for the girls were different. I had 3 shades of purple roses and stef in my boo-k. My maid and matron of honor each had all 3 shades of roses, and freesia in their boo-ks. I also had 6 other BMs. I paired them up and each pairing had a different shade of purple rose w/freesia. so i had 4 different boo-ks in the bridal party. they all coordinated but were a bit different from each other. Oh, and we all had snowberries in our boo-k. I loved using the berries.
I don't think I have a centerpiece photo scanned. i will have my new scanner this weekend and scan one for you. but mike at Burtons will know what I did. you can ask him. fm me if you need more details on them.

Re: Please post pics of Flower Michele and Burton's work

Thanks for your response.
I'm really starting to love the idea of votives instead of placecards. Were they lit? Again, please let me ask. Were these the favors? The guests carried them to the tables with them?

I can't help but comment on your flowers once again. Did Mike need photos and a lot of direction from you, or did you go with his lead? I've seen some of his work and some centerpieces seem fuller and nicer than others. Many have a lot of filler, which I don't want.

Did you post other pictures of your wedding?
I would love to see more.
Thanks.

Re: Please post pics of Flower Michele and Burton's work

I told Mike that i didn't want filler. i think there are girls who love babies breath so if they want it, he adds it. i worked with mike on my design. i had a few web images that i brought to show him but mainly we spoke in person and on the phone. then he made up a sample of my boo-k and the centerpiece a week before the wedding. i made a few changes to the centerpiece. but mike knew which flowers would work best together.

the candles: okay....i also had krispy kreme donuts as favors. the candles were put out during the cocktail hour and then light. they do not get too hot either, as long as you use a small tea light- not a full votive candle inside. then the guests just walked over to their tables with their candle. 90% took them home too. again, it is a lot of work but it was worth the extra time. you just need a laser printer to use.

here are my scanned photos. i had 1800 proofs so i still have lots of scanning to do
michele's photos
more photos
and even more
