POSITIVE SPIN OF LOOKING AT 9/11

Learning from 9/11

While I think it’s appropriate to pay tribute and
honor the memory of the innocents that were
so dramatically and tragically taken from us
on this day two years ago.

I would also like to pay tribute to the survivors,
the volunteers, the people who came together
to help from around the world, thank you, all of
you are wonderful examples of the best qualities
of our capabilities as humans and our ability to
love and serve one another.

I think the best way to pay tribute to the victims
is to continue living our lives to the fullest.
To try to build bridges so we can all share this
planet and at the very least peaceably co-exist
with one another.

I also believe it is our duty ensure that the
lessons provided that day will not be missed.
While they are different for each of us here’s
what’s been going through my mind…

1) “If I knew today was my last day…I would?”
2) “What would I be sure to say to my loved ones, if…?”
3) “Who do I need to make amends with before it’s too late?”
4) “What have I been putting off that I need to do now?”

The biggest lessons I was reminded of are simply…

All security outside of yourself is an illusion
– the only true security is inside our eternal soul.

Trust and Know that everything is according to plan that even a tragic occurrence like this is for our higher good.

Celebrate Life – Enjoy Everyday – Be Happy - Live now because none of us know how long we will be here.

Live your life to the fullest Carpe Diem! Seize the day.

Make your lives extraordinary! DO IT NOW!!!

Be grateful for every moment you are blessed to be here.

Do something for someone today that will make their day better.

To all of you, my family, friends and associates, I wish for you good health, abundant love, happiness and peace.

Thanks Shamma ... on such a sad day, this is what I needed to read to uplift my spirits. But if I really think of it ... everyday after 9/11/01 is an anniversary, so why should this day be that different.
