Post about regrets got me thinking

After all of my friends' weddings, they said they regretting how much money they spent on the wedding and that it was a waste.

DH and I don't feel that way at all. We say all the time that we'd do everything again in a heartbeat.

I guess I should answer my own question...

DH and I LOVED LOVED LOVED our wedding and would do it all over again if we could.

I think it was all worth it! We got a lot of help from our parents though...I think if we had to pay 100% of the cost ourselves we would have scaled back.

I had SO many ppl tell me I would regret spending so much money on one day.. but so far they were wrong. It was worth every penny

We had alot of help from our parents and they say that it will all worth it too and they would do it all over again!

Nope, we spent a lot but we spent it over time so it didnt feel like that much.

It was worth everything we spent on it!! My parents helped out a lot too. I was just telling my best friend last night (she's getting married in July 2011) that I still think about how amazing my wedding was!!! I loooooooved every minute of it!

My parents paid for just about all of it, but they always say that they would do it a million times over.

What I spent isn't actually a regret of mine...we were very good with our choices and got very fair deals I thought, and didn't go too nuts...we really only spent about 6k out of pocket after all was said and done, we got some help and recouped a lot so I can't say I regret that. I maybe would have chose some things differently but not pricepoint wise.

No way. We spent what we could and we didn't feel that we skimped or overspent at all. Everything was perfect and exactly what we wanted.

This is a great question!

I loved my wedding and would do it all over again. Looking back, though, we COULD have used the money for a down payment on a house.....

....but I would not change one thing. It was a day of a lifetime!

Oh no totally worth the money spent and we splurged on our hall and our vendors but I would not change one thing!!!! The day was amazing, our guests were blown away, and the memories from that day are priceless!!!
