Post your simple Chili recipes!

I'm too lazy to weed through the NW Cookbook thread, and the recipes I'm finding online are a little involved...I just want something I can do this weekend that will last a few nights in to the week for after work. It can be slow cooker or stove top since I'll be making it on Sunday. Preferably not a crazy amount of ingredients.

TIA!

I just made Chili the other night, it was a quick recipe and it was sooooo good if I do say so myself!

I used 1lb of Turkey meat, 1 can of tomato sauce, 1 can of kidney beans, half of a white onion chopped and 1 package of McCormicks chili mix to season. Brown the meat first then throw everything in a pot and let it simmer. Delicious!

ETA: forgot the best part, serve topped with shredded chedder cheese and a scoop of sour cream. DH even dipped tostitos in it rather then eating it with a spoon!

I buy the Ortega chili mix, I find it less salty than the others....and I chop half an onion and 1 small jalapeno (if you like spicy) throw into pot with some olive oil, brown 1 pound of meat, then add one can of tomatoes (take skin off if they have skin), add one can of pink or kidney beans, add about half a cup of water and throw in the seasoning. Cook uncovered on medium heat for 30-45 minutes, depending on how thick you like it, stir every so often so it doesnt stick to the bottom of the pot.

Serve with shredded cheddar cheese and sour cream...YUMMY

LOL sounds good to me! I have some chili powder and paprika and cumin at home so I'll probably just throw that in the pot instead of a mixed seasoning, but other than that it sounds like a pretty simple recipe...I plan on serving over egg noodles, yum!

All i do is buy 2lbs of turkey meat, the seasoning mix from Stop and Shop that is $2. 50(i dont know the name, but it is in the taco aisle, and its a tan box with red letters) and put that in the crock pot for 5 hours with peppers and onions (which i cook with the meat, before i put it in the crock pot) and a can of red beans (kidney??) i also add some water to make it the consistency i want it to be

its super easy and delish!
