pregnancy?

Original post by PKASHANSKY

Just curious...is anyone thinking of motherhood or is it way to early? I feel so old...I am 29 and I kind of think I am the mean age for marriage but if you think about it, they say pregnancy after 35 is harder. I feel like I am rushed now. Plus I dont want to be 80 at my childs graduation ; )

Re: pregnancy?

What I have found very interesting is the various age groups considering pregnancy. Its all in the maturity level at the time bc I know that 25 or under I was totally partying and I would have never settle down or thought of having a baby. Around 25 I matured a bit then went on to finish my masters and then onto marriage. I know someone on here spoke about feeling lucky that she hadnt gotten pregnant before her current age bc she felt like it was the 'right thing to do'. I was the same way. But like her, as much as I considered myself lucky to accomplish things, I also feel like what if the next step doesnt come. especially after reading all the articles that were posted.

I think its a very intersting observation.
Sometimes I wish I just got pregnant by 'accident'; that way I would obviously keep the baby and I feel it would make a lot of things much easier - other than the things it would make MUCH harder ofcourse!

Re: pregnancy?

I know what you mean...I am 28 and am going back to school in January to get my Masters degree and I want to wait until that is done with before we start but if I wait until then I will be 30-31 and I am scared that is too old (not that 30 is old) My parents had me when they were 39 and now my parents are in there late 60's - I want to be retired, living in florida, sipping on a frozen drink at that age.
