Im in charge of my friends rehearsal this saturday, so i am trying to organize and whatnot. Anyway, she is having a non denominational ceremony at the same place as the reception. Does the officiant walk down before the parents and grandparents, or right after them? before right? I can't remember!

I want to say that the officiant is there before the parents walk out.

i think so too. In september for my friends wedding she had ceremony at the RH. I was a bm and by the time we walked out the priest was standing there already. I dont remember him in line with us and the parents.

Dont know if this helps, but in Jewish weddings the rabbi always walks down first

just at a wedding yesterday! all the parents/grandparents walked down first. then right before the actual bridal party the officiants came out with the groom this is how i've always seen it done...it's just fresh in my head 'cause i was just at a wedding!

Re: Processional question
I thought the officiant always walked down first. Normally they are already standing there when everyone else walks down... but really, you can do it any way you want!
